That's how the carrier is set up for now, I'm building a new one soon.

Great penetration all the way around.

Lol don't care how it looks as long as it performs. I didn't have a lot of time to clean it all up, only had a day start to finish to get it completed and was by myself. Also put the paint on it while it was still hot so it bubbled a lot which didn't help looks, like I said I was in a hurry

 

how come you dont switch to mig ? what welder are you using.

 

Gas ran out mid job, didn't have a vehicle to refill it, had the flux core in the garage and went with it. 240v Lincoln electric

I just noticed that....I dont even think the hf pipe bender does it that bad....

 

Lol everyone always has something negative to add, cracks me up. The cage was my first real project, used a regular hf bender and it pinched so I made 1/4" plate batwing gussets, plenty strong I'd say.

 

I wouldn't say shit if you hadn't said you rushed through it. If it was a honest effort and the best you could do the only thing I could say was awesome job. But when you half ass it, well that's what you get.

 

The cage was my best at the time, I did it 2 years ago. My first welding project.
