This! My truck has been in the shop for two weeks just for a routine prep.

All the time. But also "routine prep" to me is literally pulling the truck into pieces. It's so nice not rushing jobs because you have to drive it to work Monday. You end up doing everything the right way vs just good enough to get it drivable

Ha...I got the TC 2" installed, then like 3 months later picked up a DD. I just couldn't stand driving my 4Runner for more than a few days straight anymore.

As soon as I put the supercharger on mine I knew I needed a DD. After doing front and rear LT and all the down time that has come with it I got tired of having to borrow my parent's car so I went out and bought myself a DD last year. Best decision ever! My truck can't make a u-turn to save it's life, I don't know if it is a common thing post LT install?

allpro long travel, shackle flip with ome dakars, cruisin offroad bumpers and sliders, 4.88 gears with arb's front and rear, budbuilt skids.
When I had my +2 LT I still used it as a dd, way to fun not to. Trucks a little hard on gas but still cheaper then having a second car, insurance, maintenance bill.

I dd my truck, I've driven to texas and back 3 or 4 separate times in the past year, and take it everywhere. That being said I would have a dd if I had the money to spend and ive been thinking about getting an older yota as my strictly offroad toy and then have something nicer to drive on a day to day basis. and yes every time im going to take one day to work on the truck it turns into 2-3 days of not having a truck, every damn time

    same here...
trying to keep my truck reasonable and long drives really aren't bad but still... long travel and links aren't super awesome on the street. however when there's dips in the road and you punch it, and watch the person behind you who's likely on their phone and just following your tail lights get rocked... it makes it all worth it

but really though, if you go full gnar gnar or have a cage you're gonna want a dd

I've been looking at rebuilding the motor mounts on the frame / frame perches. Should I go with 3/16" or 1/4" plate.
I've considered a bushing style mount but it seems very tight so i'm just going to keep the original design of perches.

18's.... And the shock is going to mount under the hoop I'm gunna make, then plan on putting the tabs on the axle on top cause they just get the shit beat out of em otherwise, it's not as high as it looks, top of the tube is like 3" above the bedside. Hoop will have a nice even down slope towards the back
