Similar taste, I would love a long travel bug and was thinking about it lately but they're all super expensive. There are a couple project bugs for sale in So cal, theres one thats 2,300 that needs to be wired but has a subi engine already..the one you posted is literally just a shell lol

Yeah its not even fair haha but yeah all the built ones are crazy expensive but it does cost a lot to build, I've seen a few pop up for good deals but they're still around the 9-12,000 range, they do look very fun though, and very low to the ground, that wilkys "bug" with the ls2 and crazy travel is for sale, that bug is sweet

I just use a 4x6 to chuck the wheel if I park on an incline. Too lazy to hook up my ebrake. Heard they loose pressure after an hour.

Yea I've been keeping an eye out and reading up on stuff. Definitely not at the moment but future build would be fun to thrash. I follow wilkey that thing is freaking gnarly. If I had 60k no doubt I'd buy it. His and Jesse James old Pizza Hut bug are my 2 favorites. One day...

I run the H70s. Great Leafs. You will be perfectly fine. Yesterday I loaded about $3500 in deaver leafs for the shop roughly over 500 lbs including my two spares and it was sitting low but it did really good.

Im running the tundra axle but I was able to get the parking brake to work. I run it along the back but you can buy the tundra cable and weld some tabs along the back.

But the only thing is that the bell crank or "arm" on the drum goes up above the axle instead of to the back like the tundra

Really why? What hubs would you go with? All of the nice race hubs are 2wd. Not many options to keep 4x4.

Yes , we did a truck recently on a Chevy though with Spidertrax hubs 6x5.5 lug and RCV axles but then agian you would have to have a kit made around the hubs. That may be my future plan at least with the hubs not axles.

    IIRC 100 ft/lb is factory spec. I believe I go around 125.
