How/where have you guys mounted a floor jack in the bed? I have a hi-lift, but a floor jack is easier since I don't have rock rails or rear bumper for lifting.

    Tech Story:
Just sharing with TW what we come across unfortunately quite often with rear ends......
Another shop calls us (where i work, California Mini Trucks in Montclair) and asks us for help, they have been doing work to an 05 Tundra rear end numerous times. They have "Rebuilt" the rear end 3 times already and every time the customer returns with in 2 weeks and says the rear end is "howling" while he drives and he feels chatter when he turns. Their "Mechanic" claims that the Housing is bent, carrier is damaged or that the vendor they are purchasing the parts from keep giving them the incorrect parts and he has to "Modify" them to make them work. Basically he blames everyone and everything else besides his "Craftsmanship". So we accept the repair and tear into it.
    Here is what we find....
First off the Pinion Gear is obviously Damaged....but what caused it???
-the carrier adjustment shims have been grounded down with a grinder for some reason, both the Left & Right side, so under side load the carrier actually shifts over from side to side.
-the Lash was set severely low towards the "Toe" on the Ring & Pinion Gear Set and under load is makes them "Walk Off".
Once we seen these common issues, we went ahead and tore down the carrier assembly, purchased all new shims, a new gear set from Randy's Ring & Pinion with their LifeTime Gear Guaranty and a Master Rebuild Kit.
We set the Pinion Depth, Pinion Bearing Preload, Back Lash and Carrier Bearing Preloads, checked the pattern one last time to make sure it was correct and called the customer. Now we have a Happy Life Time Customer.
After 38 years of being in business it still amazes me to see unfortunately bad work done to customers and no accountability on the craftsmanship of the work.

My guess is brand new coil overs settle (king 8" front 600lb), but how much? After I put my front LT on it seems like the truck is high as anything in the front. So much that the camber looks crazy. I only have about 1/2 inch of preload on the springs.
