You just need to worry about check engine light and the other crap doesn't need to work.

I have an abs kill switch already, I smashed one of the sensors brappin around soo I have that switch basically switched permanent lol, just want to get rid of the lights.... I'll pull the dash I guess, and since I have a manual, speed sensor is on the t case already soo that's cool for axle swappin, would it piss the truck off if I removed the whole abs module and just made it simple with master cylinders n stuff

You gotta leave it in there plugged in, but you can bypass all the lines with t's as if you never have abs. Easier to bleed the system too and tighten up your brakes

Vancity4x just left the plug taped up in the engine bay. The whole abs system (electrical) is seperate from every else in the truck.

I removed the whole ABS module when I put a 9" full floater in my old 2006 Tacoma. No issues.

What about 1st gens? My new build is an 03' prerunner. I know Jason swapped in all the plumbing and what not from a non abs one. I don't have that find age available yet. So what are the 1st gen prerunners doing to disable the abs? Pull the big abs fuse under hood fuse box? Any tips guys?

I know on 2nd gens (09+) that it has 4 speed senors. The front 2 are ABS and Trac control. The rear is the trac control, speedo, and my Transmission... I dont have the choice to change to a gear driven speedometer due to being 2 wheel drive.

Auto 4wd 2nd gen tacoma's get speedo signal from the rear abs sensors but can be converted. Manual trucks have a gear driven speed sensor in the tcase.

Cant convert mine. There is no cover to remove on my tranny. If there was a way I wouldnt have FJ rear bearings and hubs and would have went full float axle.

Speedo correction isnt the problem... They use the actual sensors to feed the ECU which goes straight to the tranny... The correction box goes right behind the speedo in the dash.
