its on a messanine arm suspension which is like a cross between a cantilever and a conventional 3 link with a built in sway bar. obviously its way more complex than that but we'll keep it simple

I have a 1.5 ton, but in retrospect I should have bought a 2 ton and will be swapping shortly

I have a 1.5, but I'd only recommend it for little trucks.

I guess I'll just carry the 2 ton I already have in the garage then. Thanks

So...kinda' on the same topic - I hate my hi lift and want to swap it out for reg floor jack and skid mount as you guys are discussing but how the heck do you guys actually get a front tire off the ground with those lighter aluminum HF jacks ? I have to use the largest HF floor jack the big steel beast at home and topped out it just barely gets my tire off the floor...and I only have a +2 kit with 35's.

Do you use those smaller jacks under the LCA ? I've tried that but there is no surface on the LCA level enough...the jack just slides off the LCA.

I have a 4x4 piece of scrap wood and the 3 ton jack has 19" of reach if I remember correctly.

:facepalm:Well shit, I didn't realize they made the lightweight aluminum one in the 3 ton model with a 19" reach...just saw it online but never saw anything but the 1.5 and 2 tons that top out at 16" in the store by me. Problem solved...anyone want to buy a hilift extreme ? ...it's extra rad because the sticker says " extreme "

I bought the race dezert jack. The built in extension is nice and a lot less sketchy than stacking wood to get the tires off the ground.

For out in the dirt ^ this is how I did it. At home either that and jack Stan it then move to other side or a piece of 4x4. Extension would be nice though.

Anyone here with a set of stock second gen 4x4 LCA's they would like to get rid of? Looking for something to play around with some ideas, without having my truck immobile. So, so long as they aren't bent, if bushings and ball joints need to be replaced, that's fine.

    Thanks
