I may be interested in the hood. I want to stay with my 6.5 McNeils. But who knows. I'll like to check out the truck in July if possible. I'll be out in vegas for my birthday

 

shoot me a PM on here. I'm sure we can work something out. I'll likely be out of town though starting July 25th for 10 days and there's a chance I may be gone one weekend in the first half of July. But... my roomie could let you crawl around it while I'm gone if you wanted even. He probably couldn't answer every question in the world but... I'm not sure what stage of teardown the truck will be in. I'm planning to hopefully get back on it heavy here this weekend potentially. I'd like to have the front end buttoned up in the next week or so and get the motor back in and fired up so I can start prepping the rear and the cab next. Right now it's bare chassis from the C-pillar of the cab forward basically...

It takes time. Still lots of little stuff to button up. Wiring and stuff like that. Just cuz its on its own legs doesnt mean its ready for the dirt...

All finished. Ran into simple dumb problems but here it is! Also what are your guys thoughts on the deegan 38 tires? Getting new tires this weekend and I have a deal for 190 a tire for 35s and free mounting.

 

Sweet idea. Better than paying $400 for the bypass mounts. Looks good

 

170 for the coilbucket mounts from dirt designs all welded then like 20$ in tube and a couple couplers and some time. Yea my buddy has the TC ones and I just don't see 400 bucks

 

Quick question for those running 1.5" rear wheel spacers...

When the spacers are torqued down the lugs only come about halfway up the nut, but they are the deep nuts that go down in to the spacer holes, so Id say at least 6-8 thread engagement.

 

correction, looks like Im only getting about 4 or 5 threads engaged.

 

You could always run something, but with an open top design, like that to give you more threads.
I think wheelers sells then.

 

Those are not ET ( extended thread ) nuts, they are just regular acorn nuts you need ET acorn nuts.

Well, Jeff and I agree I'm getting at least 6-7 thread engagement with the torqued down, so thatll have to do for now until I get the ET nuts, but Ill be ordering some asap!

Arp studs and cut them down? That might be the best option.

 

Kinda feel the same but Figured to be different than everyone and run them a different way. And they were rubbing a little on the top caps of the bump stops so I changed it up to see. Thanks man!
