Dude at tuff trucks. The runner didn't race but once. Driveshaft snapped the other 2 times.

 

Geez, it only took one prerunner build to empty my wallet and you want to build another one!? lol

 

What do you guys near the beach do to care for your shocks? There was a race in Sierra Blanca, TX this weekend and I went to chase for my pops. We got rained on and the mud was very salty clay. I didn't realize until I rinsed the truck down yesterday and now my shocks have these faint black spots on the coating. Any way to fix this without having to send them out to get recoated? I know it is my mistake but I am used to the local dirt and sand that doesn't do much to finishes.

 

I just bought 2 cans of fluid film and in 2 weeks im doing a full breakdown and retorque on everything and dousing the whole underside of the truck

 

Corrosion X or ACF50, are great corrosion preventative spray films.... I know it doesn't help after the fact tho

 

Yeah once corrosion has started theres no quick fix, just inhibitors.

 

Noticed a couple black spots on mine from my first winter. Would've been nice to know from King or sellers of the shocks before hand. Going to buy corrosion x, like $20 or so off Amazon. Thx for the heads up and tip guys. Wondering if some super light grit wet sand paper will take it off. I'll give it a try. I'm thinking it will.

 

Do you know how long it took to get the shocks? I'm STILL waiting for my custom order (2 months+)
