I've been trying to do some sleuthing here but I can't seem to find my emails with the number. Does anyone happen to have Anthony @ DTF's contact number?

Hahaha! I need the trans mount and X member he has if he completed it, but I can't get a hold of him through the net so far and today is my last day out in his area, so finding out if he has a set or even completed that little project right now is important to me.

Will that kit work with a 16" wheel?

 

It looks like it would clear fine but call solo to find out for sure

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't pretty much all of the LT kits on the market work just fine with any size rim, rim size would be regulated by your caliper size/Generation of truck. The only time you'd have issues with rim size would be if you don't have enough backspacing, which I do recall alot of the LT kits say/require at least 4.75 BS'ing on your rims to clear spindles and all that.

Yeah I thought any rims size would be fine as long as you have the correct backspacing...how would a fabbed spindle dictate rim size? (legit question, not being sarcastic lol)

 

Well that mostly depends on where the lower uniball bolts to the spindle. 2WD fab'd spindle will normally have it bolt right behind the hub, which increases ground clearance below the lower arm. But, obviously on a 4WD, the CV is behind the hub. So the lower uniball tends to get mounted a lot lower on the spindle. Then, factor in how far away from the mounting wheel surface of the hub the lower uniball is and you could run into issues. Basically the bolt on the lower uniball could hit the rim depending on those factors.

Depends on what you consider the correct backspacing. Backspacing affects suspension performance and changes wheel scrub. So a smaller wheel with enough backspacing to clear the suspension could change the scrub radius affecting overall performance.
