bummer.... gotta pay to play though... thats why you always look over your finances first and KNOW that you can lose at least 1k a month into the truck... that is how i always base truck projects.... it always costs more than that out of the gate fee everyone thinks is the end all be all price... welcome to off roading.

 

He paid 10k for it I know he didn't add another 15k into why not recover what u put in and pass it off to another member

 

and beside the fact that oyu will never recover 100% of invested monies... so unless there was at least 20k more put into it, i would laugh and walk away from that steep ass price...

17-20k isnt really reasonable on a truck that is only worth that because a bunch of desert guys think so... take that to any actual dealership or at carmax.... you tell me that they offer you 20k for that... its not feasible... price is very steep... shit... hand me 20k and a 5k truck and watch what i can do to that truck in that price range...

KBB for the stock truck is 12k And that's private party sale. Carmax would sticker the stock truck at 16k

So, you go to Carmax and buy a truck for 15k after talking down the salesman from 16k, and see if you can even come close to this truck with the remaining 10k without cutting corners. Ain't happening.

The truck was always sold low. I'm just selling it for what I think it's worth. Which means: If someone will pay me a certain amount of money, I will part with it. If not, I will keep it.

Exactly, and that's a 5 lugger with fenders and a front long travel setup. You know that thing is not even LT in the rear right? It has TC's mid travel rear.

 

I know he didn't buy it for much. The guy that owned it before got rid of it for cheap. I remember the thread on TTORA because I was trying to have my buddy trade his truck for it. But value is relative for off road toys. People will pay what they feel the fun value of the truck will be

 

well fabien sold it to 10k to someone, then rob bought it from that guy. so it was more than 10k.
