The length of the arm where the cable mounts to is no different than any of the other ones, at least not to my knowledge

What is being gained by using the th400 shifter. You don't really here about thes problems with the correct shifter.

That's because most people don't make a console for the shifter. The arm that comes off the shifter is the same all around. And that was the shifter the was available and cost less actually and plenty of people have used it in the past. Including one of the employees from summit racing that informed me it can work.

Which one did you go with? I'm leaning towards the solid one since it's not my daily and the wife will enjoy the extra vibrations.

How much clearance between the tire and the spindle is necessary? The goal is to get scrub as low as possible with not having parts collide
My truck needs new wheels that actually fit without spacers before its suitable to see dirt, so that up next once the rear parts get installed.

Current: 4.5" BS with .625 spacer has 2" clearance
    5" BS: .875" clearance, 1.5" scrub radius
    5.25" BS: .625" clearance, 1.25" scrub radius
5.5" BS: .375" clearance, 1" scrub. Same as stock if my drawings are correct, but cant find any wheels with this spec
    5.75" BS: .125" clearance

You know you can adjust how the arm comes out of the shifter, right?

I had it before i went toa one piece shaft. It makes tour driveline feel so much stronger BUT it tranfers any and all vibes into the chasis since there is zero dampening. I would not hesitate to run it on a play truck but for daily driving no bueno
