The wannabe fab shop right by my house says the same shit constantly. I stopped by again about 6 months ago because I heard they got a new mechanic that can actually do fabrication, asked about a ruffstuff axle for the rear, dude starts checking out my truck "why'd you spend all that money and get no lift? I could totally get you a good 6" lift for like half of what you spent I bet". Facepalm, just call me if you guys can source the axle and install it. No call back, figures.

4wd set em before your cv binds, 2wd before any joint binds and a lil bit for a buffer zone of strap stretch

Doesn't necessarily apply since you don't have TC, but TC 2ng gen kits should be set to 1/4" gap on the upper UCA top misalignment spacer and the uniball cup edge.

I pulled guys like that out in Pismo and chuckled to myself the whole time. Big ass Dodges with 12" lift on 37s or bigger, stuck axles deep because they're 2WD and figured rooster tails would get them out of anything. The funny one was when I had to explain to the dude parked uphill in deep sand how he got stuck

Yeah if it doesn't state anything specific you'll have to check for binding on the CV and uniballs, figure out which binds first and then strap it with some safety factor added.

Salt life is deep sea fishing gear company. Big around Florida. but for some reason i see stickers out here in new mexico and crap is really funny. Same with the "dirty money", thats the florida stanced truck deal i guess. I dont care for the stanced trucks and crap, still gay imo. But the dudes that try to act country and hard asses with their shit box cumming with the huge stupid C on the back window and dip skoal pouches really just makes me scratch my head.

I would suggest going with an adjustable clevis for this, either way before CV bind.

My first time around on my truck I cycled and found where it barely didn't bind and went up like an 1" then burned the tabs on. Assembled it and no bind, used it once and the strap stretched and pulled a CV apart. Ended up twisting the straps until I had no bind. Eventually that ripped the straps (lasted about 6 months of weekend use) so when I replaced them I also got adjustable clevises and adjust them every so often.

The guy who did mine had to cut my shafts as well when he was installing them. Each set is its own beast, I will gladly pass that job onto someone else.
