All I know about that truck is it would be scary AF to drive fast. That tall ass roof rack would not be fun.

Yeah seemed like a lot of weight with that big metal box and the spare, but a factory type roof rack with some light gear and a solar panel or two could be cool. I know only double cab first gens got the roof rack from the factory, but something similar is what I was envisioning - removable or at least minimized when not in use so you're not getting a lot of drag.

    This is what I did:

For maxxtraxx or whatever. Solar panels sure. I'm going for stick on ones though on the other truck.

But that's about as low profile as it gets. And my other experiences with roof racks suck. Just kills the highway driving.

clean. How did you shape the c channel stuff? Cardboard template? What is it exactly? Any more info on how you attached it? My truck is a beater that I'll dress up as much as possible. Permanent rails might not be too bad for it, but interested to see how you do the removable ones :)

Install was a bitch. Drilled holes and tightened them down from the middle out.

They are just 4' aluminum heavy duty rails from US cargo. Just put in a vice and bent to shape. My Buddy did it a while ago. Originally was going to do something more complex, but then he just tried bending them and so we did that instead.

    write up here.

I'm happy with my McNeil 6" fenders, fits well, some massaging here and there but overall quality seems to be there.

Can't comment on roadrunner as I've never seen them or dealt with the company
