kidneys go for a premium on the black market as well as firstborn children. I'm just saying, there's options.

Yes there are, but I just really don't want to be that wide. And since I refuse to go through the bed in the rear, it's pointless for my front to be that good

The ratio is completely different from stock length arms to long travel arms. You don't need as heavy of a spring with LT to maintain the same ride height.

Yeah pretty much everyone here has 6 cylinders so it won't matter, but 600lb springs on my +2 kit gave me 3"+ w/o any preload. I didn't have any skids or metal bumper either though. For me fully loaded for my style camping I was only 1980lbs over the front wheels.

When I asked Micah @ DSM about this topic years ago he said 600lb springs are for stock 2nd gen 4x4 and to add 50lbs of spring for every 120 lbs of weight you add to the front end.

Just curious what your front setup is, I've seen your rear and its bad ass.

When I talked with Andrew about the kit, he was planning on running oem inners and d44 outers. It looks like d44 snout in the pic. This kit is also +4.5 so it's gets some of its extra travel just from the width of the kit

I originally had no intention of going 3.5 but everyone I talked to said 2+ isn't worth it unless overlanding is the extent of what you are doing. If you want to keep the speed up, then just go 3.5 man. I feel you though as I have relocated 12s with tc sua for my rear.

Is this the solo kit or the trac kit or something else? It would be awesome to see something like this for first gens besides the solo kit for manual hubs :spy:

I wouldn't worry about it man. If the Frankenstein is cool with 700lb springs you should be good with either 700 or 650.

You could always figure out the weight of your truck and find out what places like Downsouth Motorsports and / or King directly recommend if you think it's a close call, but you could always swap out the springs and sell the old ones if worst comes to worst  I remember @jberry813 had a link to a spring rate calculator if you knew a bunch of stats on your truck.

Yeah I see if you're swapping them out yourself it would be even nicer to get it the first time. I guess wherever there's logistics it'll have a truck scale somewhere. There's a lot in LA from the port - I never get tired of going through that place there's so much cool random stuff there.

Easily can tell there's 3 inches extra of tire space in those walls.

Vendors sometimes throw in 10-15% discount which would be about $135-$200 from $1350 so if you want to throw a c-note my way you won't have to feel weird about the price being too low :D Why not go for the adjusters if you can afford it!
