Anyone have the RADesigns/Winters kit installed in their truck???

16" - 700lb King springs approx 6 mos of use - $75

18" - 700lb King springs approx 2 mos of use - $75

Had the parts laying around for a couple months now. Just jumped on it last night. Hood is absolutely badass! It buldges way up. Gives about a 5 inch rise over OEM hood. And it vents through the back of the hood too around windshield. It sits about 1/2 inch above the wiper cowl to let air flow through. More upward room in the engine bay for sure. Still a lot to go. Looks like a lot of little modding to get this conversion to fit. Hood and latch were an easy go. Hood is an R/T style fiberglass and is noticably lighter than OE. Going to flat black vinyl wrap it too.

 

On this note, anyone with a 2nd gen fiberglass hood that can speak up about engine bay height above stock? Have been kicking around a hood for more height over the engine to fit a proper cross bar over the Supercharger...

I seriously considered it. But I'm a good 5-10 years out from linking. Got way to much shit to do to the truck till then before I'm ready.

Damn, if only 16" coils could fit mid travel coilovers....

 

I have both a Glassworks hood and a Mcneil hood. The Glassworks is race glass so just the skin after the rear hinge mounts forward and is currently installed. The Mcneil hood has a perimeter frame all around. I can snap some pics in the afternoon of the underside of both and see if I can get a picture that will show the clearance between the Glassworks hood and the supercharger.

 

Great! All I need to know is if it's higher than the stock hood. I know DD had to cut some of the frame support to fit a single cross bar on Alex's truck. Tim at DMZ insisted a double bar is needed for proper support, and DD told me they can't do that. So I'm trying to find a different way of fitting it.

 

You should bring them to El Paso... maybe I'd buy them! Or I could maybe go up there to pick up a 2004 GTO shell I found and the links haha I wonder how low I'd have to mount my shocks since I have 14" bypasses.
