All the sets I've installed came with clamps for the large diameter side of the boot and I just reused the old clamps for the small diameter side. I've also used stainless tie wraps. Both routes require a different specialty tool to install correctly. TC extended axles include hose clamps. I don't use them. But do keep a spare set in my trail spares.

You also may want to order grease from sdhq when you order the boots. They don't come with grease like the oem' do

Call CVJ and get their high angle boots. You can see the difference here - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ked-trip-reports.412394/page-11#post-13396487

They do cost a bit more, but its well worth the extra cost.

Need a measurement of a fox 2.5 bypass. How far does tube stick out from body? So from body to farthest edge of tube

Correct me if I'm wrong, please, but wasn't there a problem with these boots that if you had to much CV angle (IE a bunch of lift/preload) the fins rubbed to much and actually caused excessive wear and failed? Maybe I'm thinking of something else...or stock boots lol.

I would say that was with stock boots, the fins on these CVJ are further apart.

I don't have time to dig through, but the ideal ratio has been posted a few times. Off the top of my head, I wanna say 60/40% up/down. What's normal for the giant SUA kit ? :notsure:

If you have 16" bypasses, minus about 1" for limiting with straps/bumps. 60% of 15" would be 9" uptravel. Seems like a lot to me lol. I'm sure some knowledgeable people can chime in.

For shits and gigs I decided to check out TTORA, but was bummed to find that there is a database error. I was curious if TTORA might ever go under as I think a lot of their traffic has migrated elsewhere, but this might have just happened. Regardless, it was a good secondary resource to what folks have done in the past if it wasn't catalogued on TW. Kind of sad though as TTORA is where my beginnings started.

Around 8" would be a minimum , around 9/10 is pretty good. I have more down travel than up travel and it still works really good.
