Yeah between the abs plastic and plumber's shower liner type material the guy is using for the splash guards you could pretty much make your intake stock-ish and engine bay a little drier than stock. I think the abs is better for the airbox section. I was also thinking of the plumber's liner for keeping the holes in the bed from a cage from letting in too much water or dirt by making big gaskets.

Illl have to look into plumbers liner... was wondering what type of rubber sheet the guy was using, I have a set on my truck and they are pretty nice, figure I can do alot of other stuff with that kind of material.

Pretty sure he was trying to be tough posting a pic of his last ban like 2 weeks ago, only to get banned again. Some people just don't learn and continue to troll here until lifetime ban kicks in. Sometimes they get to come back after begging and begging Bob or other mods(and changing their name), sometimes not. **Cough whipper cough**

I was wondering that if he was bragging as well. I don't understand some of these guys, especially in his case where he has almost 5,000 posts. He def has been around long enough to know how it works.

Of all categories, Im surprised he ventured here to the LT threads for this where more theory and collaboration happen then the typical BS you see in more common categories.

That's like being surprised about anyone in Hollywood doing anything against social norms.

I made my own fender liners after a big rock off the highway got thrown from my tires and tried to KoolAid man my freshly painted fiberglass fenders. So I went and got some L brackets and a set of generic trucker rubber flaps. Has worked great for a few years now. On the passenger side I couldn't go below the intake hole (I have the V8) but I check it often and hasn't been a problem yet and I've attempted to use the runner as a boat a few times and we've been good.

That's scary, I have Fox 3.0 bypasses sitting on the shelf waiting to go on when I in stall my Solo XLT front end as well... We'll see if they fit. They did come off of another 2nd gen Taco, though not a Solo front end.

My rear bypasses were clocked funny when I first got them, I had to pull the top cap off and throw it in the lathe to remove a few thousandths so I could rotate the tubes to my liking.
