Yeah I don't want to do the split boot thing, was more curious about something like this method. https://youtu.be/RvkdRHp2B3E

Big cone to slide it over. But also don't know if it would work with heavier duty boots

The outer is nearly impossible to remove. The inner has a c-clip that's accessible. The outer, the clip is not accessible as it's burried under the birf. You either get lucky with the pipe method (which means you have to pull the inner anyways) or you cut the shaft of throw the outer in a press brake and snap the clip in half.

Just pull the cv, remove the inner, and replace the outer boot.

Got an MPI steering wheel. 14", "leather," and a 3.75" deep dish instead of the flat MOMO I used to have. If anyone is interested in the MOMO, let me know.

@doyouquaxu just read through your build page - do you still plan on going with the solo 4x4 xl kit?

Thanks I got the "keep the swaybar" kit because they seem stronger. I'm a little overwhelmed with all the shit that needs to take place for this set up.

Still undecided. I like the concept of a stock dash board for looks, but am getting a quote for an aluminum one.

Just want you guys to know what happens when you purchase from Baja kits

Your order will take an eternity to be built
You'll get the wrong tie rods
    The wrong axels
    No cv boot clamps
    Poorly assembled bypass mounts

You'll drive across the country to pick up the rear suspension kit and find out they only have 20% of it ready and the rest isn't even been ordered from deaver

You'll have to scramble to get the parts you need from total chaos
And then just when you think you are good

It'll take almost a month to get the kit even reasonably installed

And when you pay them 1000$ and get 700$ of the kit and cancel the remaining order (since they didn't have it ready on time)
They'll charge you tax and other bullshit and then give you a 100$ credit for a single GoPro mount that cost less than 30$ to make and was supposed to be included for free

0/0 will never do business with them again

Sorry to hear that. Singing the same tune as me, but I never put it out there trying to be nice and just stuck to the crappy brake lines and limit straps they include with their kit, hoping their business would improve. Their stuff is nice, but I can't really say I would do business with them either though. You should get the TC race kit and treat yourself :)

As I can afford it I will replace every single part of their kit with total chaos until there is no hint of bajakits on my truck

Trucks all done just having trouble bleeding the power steering. Tried jacking it up and turning the wheel back and fourth but it's not working. Any suggestions?

Baja kits told me even an inexperienced shop could install my kit in 8 days

This has proved to be anything but true
And when I got here to California to find out they hadn't even finished assembling my rear kit I called deaver and told them what I needed only to find out that Baja kits hadn't even ordered my leaf springs yet and that they were on a 6-8 week lead time to get them

I told these guys I was on a tight schedule because of what I do with my truck and that I had to drive here and house myself while I waited

I've been here since July 11th and my truck still isn't done and I still have a shit ton of stuff I still have to get done before I can leave
