Hey Guys; I am the owner of the Frontier Ben posted. I noticed there were quite a bit of questions regarding the truck and I'll do my best to answer them.
The lower uniball has quite a bit of movement left before binding, the pictures are somewhat deceiving. But you are right... My truck is set up for a lower ride height and more droop. Not at all optimum for a place like barstow, but I never go there. I mainly go out to ocotillo where I like to drift and jump, I am really not one to blast whoops...hence why the truck is set up the way it is. With only 3" of lift I still have about 6-7" or so up travel though, which is close to the total travel of the truck stock:)

Thanks for the compliment...again; the photos are a little deceiving. There is about 3/4" or so between the tire and spindle with a 4.5" BS wheel.

Correct, I am running 37"x12.5" tires on a 17" wheel. See above regarding uniball and bump travel.

There were quite a few reasons actually. The main reason was to retain the stock tone rings; unfortunately a lot of electronics become very unhappy without speed censors. Also; I got the housing for free and already had a 3rd with adapted gears out of a dodge viper and a TrueTrac installed.

The frontier really had absolutely no aftermarket when I began building my truck and still really doesn't to this day, so I had to do a lot of custom work.

You are mistaken:) The Titan axle's real weak point are the stock spider gears...other than that I am not familiar with any other failures. Everyone who has replaced the stock carrier with a TrueTrac has not had an issue.

Here is the way I see it... they have a large bearing hub with 32 or 35 spline axles (depending on year); there is a class 8 titan that raced on a fairly stock rear end and plenty more Titans running them in the desert with not much issue. Those guys outweigh me by a good 1500-2000lbs and have close to 100hp on me...so I feel it should be pretty reliable for what I will put it through.

However; with that being said...Currie is now making tone rings for the Titan and I already have a fully fabricated 9" housing from GMR that will be replacing the Titan axle.
