I wonder if these axles are proven to be more resilient than your standard OEM with tc axle? I would assume these would fit on a 3.5 kit?

Yeah it's for their 3.5 kit. The cv's are just oem, but they modify the inners to allow more angle. Just a much easier option if you don't want to mess with having to build them yourself or take them in to be built.

I hear that, from a benefits point of view, does the inner trimming help much in regards to binding? I just had a CV die on me, which since it was an older axle, could of been anything. Just was curious if their approach might be a slight enhancement to the traditional CV axles we got to make for our rigs.

I wasn't going to post this because, well...

But now I have a reason to - besides this place is across the street from the school I worked at teaching a rock band program for six years... you can see it in the background when they show over the fence when he's jumping.

The place used to be a post office depot in the old days and a para-transit depot in the time before Hoonigan moved in a few years ago. The first guy I met over there had a nice diy lt ranger. My old boss's boyfriend is the host - I keep hoping they'll invite me to wrench on my truck there ;)

Even though the place is really loud sometimes, I'm glad they moved in because the kids get to see things they might never see otherwise - a lot of their parents don't even have cars and they never even get to go to the beach except with school even though it's only a twenty minute walk away. Oh and I got to see and meet Lucky and Tony from Hotrod Garage filming there one day - I like Lucky, that guy is the man. :D

Yes, the trimming allows for more angle at the inner cv, which with a diff drop I s how their kit pulls an extra inch of travel over the other 3.5 4x4 kits. You end up strapping it before the uca uniball is maxed out and the cv still spins freely. I would imagine the extra angle would put less wear and tear on the joint and allow it to last longer

Lol kidding! There's plenty of people who talk negative on his shop, the guy has helped me plenty so as a loyal customer I try and give him positive rep. Always throw his stickers on the race trucks whenever I'm racing.

The trucks that I've seen in person from his shop are nice from what I can tell

I don't think I could ever get rich enough to justify that.

You say that, but I have heard from Rcv themselves that guys have broken their special custom axels that are over 4K for a set. I would rather invest in probable fatigue items instead of believing a cv will never fail. Furthermore I don't think they necessarily warranty failures either if it goes.

If the CV's don't break, something else will. I think would rather pop a CV, which is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace, than a diff or something else down the line.
