if you bolt the 8's together, you get a 16 to use for mock up.

Tubes going through the cab to the bedcage. Don't look welded to the cab. Optical illusion?

When did you order them? Bypasses are usually around a 6 week wait. Especially right now.

    No.

You'll want to cycle it to setup your straps and bumps and mounts correctly.

Do it once and do it right. Or don't bother.

My doors are the only stock things left besides the headlights
The front section of roof with the console.... should of put two small X's in there instead of the two long diagonals... just sayin...and a minimal style b pillar web would be ideal....but that's being nitpicky looks pretty nice

ordered on august 1 so I am at week 5 of my 4-6 week estimate. but I got a non-standard tube layout with the bypass tubes all facing forward, so it will probably take longer for that. I hope they don't take longer, just trying to be realistic. The problem comes with me having time, garage space, and a spare car over the next 2 weeks so I kind of want to do as much as I can and worst case make it driveable until i bolt the right shocks in

I wouldn't finalize bumps or straps until I had the correct shocks and could cycle it correctly.

Just wait. You can't setup shock mounts correctly without them. Unless you can get ahold of a mockup shock that's same size.

How are you going to know where to weld the shock tabs without cycling ?

no door bars, no dash bars, it's missing all the race truck parts. it'll never work.

If he leaves the stock mounts he should be fine (assuming he sets bump and strap correctly)

To be fair the dmz kit leaves almost no questions. Tim has directions and measurements on where to mount all the hangers.

Edit: ideally do it all at once, but I totally get the dd struggle haha

I would be guessing as far as width on the tabs since I have some 2.0x12" shocks and am going to 2.5x16" as far as clearance, but with given extended and collapsed lengths I should be able to get the ht pretty darn accurate.

Again not ideal without my actual shocks but I could safely get 80% done while I have the ability to do so with some leeway on this being my dd. Worst case I need to scrap lower shock mounts and redo, but I can safely strip everything I have on the frame and axle, and set pinion angle. Have the dmz bed cage so upper shock mount it already set. And I wouldn't start on limit straps until I had the shocks.

:annoyed: The next time I am gonna have the ease to work on the truck is gonna be after thanksgiving and we will probably have snow out here
