actually i was quite surprised to learn a lot more on here had welders than you would imagine. and if not they know someone who does. and if your gunna tack something to keep it from moving, yall might wanna consider a tig tack.... penetrates and doesnt involve a large amount of filler material that you will need to remove to get them out. just a fyi there.

and on the paint pen topic... not hating the idea... but honestly.. people are supposed to do look overs on their trucks before and after runs, at least once a week if it is a serious play toy and a road legal car, but honestly almost no one does. i know even i used to just say fuck it because it took too long. you have to wipe at dirt and mud to see that pen, a tack just brush some dirt around and you can identify if it cracked or not... just faster when it comes to servicing as well.

Yeah, did some reading and the rear of the raptor supposedly pulls about 12" of travel so the shocks would have to similar to that?!

Yeah true didn't take into account the angle factor, only problem with running with them on a 2nd Gen (in stock location) is Eye-to-Eye instead of Eye-to-Stem Mounting (taking away another 1-2" due using a conversion bracket) and the valving would probably be too stiff for the lack of weight I'd think.

The idea makes sense (requires more engineering than an eye-top), just it's not a widely used design causing problems.
