Man you got me confused here...so if going with a 4 piston brake caliper to stay with the stock MC? I tried glancing on the SOS performance site to see if they might recommend a new MC for their 4 piston. I will probably call them later to get the skinny on their stuff.

No need for a bigger master with 4 pistons, it is a 4 to 4 swap & the braking power gain is strictly from the larger diameter of the new rotor.

    ...too much shit to list.
I wouldn't agree with this. I have the 6 pot BBK from SOS and the pedal isn't soft at all. The pistons are smaller than the 4 pot BBK. The only time the brakes are remedial is first thing on a cold morning, and that's just an artifact of the pad compound.
Every time my wife drive's the truck she always comments on the brakes. And that's coming from her being used to the 4runner that isn't a loaded pig and has the same stock front brakes as the Tacoma and rear calipers on the t4.

I am quoting Tom from SOS on these “facts” about master cylinders and rotor size being the largest percentage increase. But it sounds like what your saying is that the particular 6 pots you got are overall not a significantly larger fluid volume vs oe 4 pots.

I have an 07’ T4R Limited and have the exact opposite experience. My T4R brakes like a friggin’ sports car no way in hell my Taco pedal will ever feel that good. I do have upgraded rotors and pads but just all mid price range OE replacement stuff...the T4R is bone stock.

Might be a different setup. I know the 3rd gen 4runner got the smaller MC and single diaphragm booster before the Tacoma did.

Does anyone on here experience driveshaft vibration and know the fix to it after having rear sua kit installed?

Would you like me to take a picture underneath? I was told my the fabricator that he thinks the driveshaft should be shortened by 1/2-3/4" because the driveshaft is to long.

He might be able to change the angle but the issue is my driveshaft with my giant sua kit is binding on the center carrier because its too long.

and also said at droop I have 6 degrees of angle, and at compression I have 0 degrees of angle so he set it at 4 degrees at ride height.

Is Solo shipping the racks now or still only doing the install in house?

@erok81 installed one of these and didn't have any similar issues. He's got a long bed though. Not sure if that would change things at all though. Yours is a 2nd gen right?

That's interesting - did you buy the kit from Geoff and make sure it was the one made for a short bed of there's a specific kit for each bed length? I think other rear kits may be specific to which length bed you have.
