Thinking about just selling the TC shock relocation for my rear of my 04 Taco I just bought. And just doing what my true goal is, to spring under the rear. Ended up making more money than I thought with this job. I'm familiar with most of the parts I need. Just unsure about shock selection... bedcage/shock tower setup. Many of the parts I can buy from TC hangers/shackle/ pivots. Just curious on what else I would need or should I go through a local company like solo to help me out? I can do most of the install myself and have some buddies who can weld for me. Maybe wouldn't trust them 100% with geometry of things. I don't know much myself, just familiar with the parts. What shock size would you guys reccomend ? I think the deavers I would go with were the F67 or 87? Something like that don't remember. Could I build towers also or something lowkey while saving bed space ? It's not a race truck. But would like a badass setup in the rear for sure. Anyone with experience spring undering a 1st gen? Thanks guys :)

Hit up @jeffz0rz he's an expert at this sort of thing. Solo guys are experts, but their work costs what they're worth since they have a busy shop and more overhead than a one man operation. Either way you'll be good - congrats on making more money than you expected!

Appreciate it man! I'll hit him up!
Edit: yea I've seen solos work... clean, but I can see it being pricey for sure!

I actually saw it a while ago for sale. It's a nice little truck and the thought of taking it airborne crossed my mind, just so I can see what all the Baja Bro's on here talk about so much!

Is it wrong to do up the rear the way you want. And have front Mid travel for awhile ? I see a lot of guys with front LT and stock rear ends...and say it's just not worth it..

That's what I've heard! Glad I am making the right decision... you plan to still use your TC rear kit? I'll be selling mine if I can get something going with Jeff.. if you want two kits;) lol

As in buying used kits? If so that's exactly what I'd be doing honestly. If I ever found a used front kit I would pick it up in a heartbeat. Have done it with a ton of parts on here, and saves a lot of money...just need to check Day and night for the unicorn lol

haha i don't need two..well..i could use them. But i have other plans for one of the tacomas.

Though once i get more settled i very much want a single cab taco and to put mid travel in it all around for a commuter since half my commute is dirt anyways...so maybe later haha

Frank i'd like to 4 link. But depending on how things go i might use the TC kit but use my T100 axle with them and stay SOA as i use the truck not mainly as a prerunner and as it sits gos fast enough for me on the single lane rocky mountain roads. But my original intent was on Igor. We will see. Might still use it on Igor and do custom hoops on Frank. No idea really haha
