I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain those Fox resi's were designed to dangle freely.....no hose clamps required. They're built extra thick in the event they smash into your tire, fender, fender well, control arms, ect.... Anyone who straps these down clearly doesn't know the intent of the design.

    You're welcome.

Question for you pros.. 2018 trd pro tacoma .. i have kings 2.5 with the 600 lb spring. I heard to adjust the preload before installing so itll be easier because adjusting it once on will be a bitch. So approx how many threads should i aim for to achieve 2.5in of lift? I heard to do the drivers sids 1-2 threads more to fix the “taco lean” . Thanks fellas

If its anything like a first gen, remove all spring slack and add 50% of the desired lift in preload, add an extra 3/16" to the driver side.

Why ADS from my research they have the worst mid-travel numbers out of the big 3. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've been figuring out what I want. And I've been steered from ADS twice now.

Well...I don't have mid travel. So you need long travel :D

But they are the most over built shocks out there. Their lengths are usually longer per travel number because the engineers won't sacrifice the oil capacity. Unless you custom order it.

    I love em.

    But really.

Pick a color haha I have kings on the front of my double cab and foxes on the rear. Still planning on switching to ads though. My dad's truck rides so damn good and so does my lt truck.

    Says who?

Just droop the coils out and lube the threads and all should go smoothly with them on the truck!

ADS will build to your specs for free if you know what you want.

I had them custom build my coilovers and I’m pulling 11.5” of 4WD travel on midtravel.

Yep. I’ve adjusted mine on the truck 5-6 times. Zero issues.

I tried with them on the bench. I made it to slight preload and gave up.

I have adjusted mine about the same on my truck. Doesn't hurt to spray some penetrating oil on the threads and let it soak for a minute or two to help it slide better. I use the "T" handle in conjunction with the standard punch and it gets the job pretty fast.

I line-x the underside because I get a lot of mud and snow here. I taped them off myself and covered the gel coat. Only ran about 250.
