If you can do your own fab, not a bad idea to have a kit in the interim depending on how long it might take for a dmz kit, but I would rather do the work once. I got my kit coming in this week and Tim sent 18 inch straps with mine as well.

Obviously not making a score cage but their rules say something like bends radius cannot be smaller than 3 times tube diameter. So 1.75" tube needs at least 5.25 radius bends

found it "None of the tubing may show any signs of crimping or wall failure. All bends must be mandrel type. The center radius of the bends may not be less than three (3) times the outside diameter of the roll cage tubing"

I received my LSK kit last week and had some time over the weekend to really look things over.

First off dealing with Van and Aaron has been great. Very helpful guys that always respond, any issue that arises and they handle it.
Van went above and beyond finding the best freight shipment price to get it all the way across the country. The first quote we received was shocking.

The other thing that really surprised me was they added a prebent shock hoop with laser cut tabs to include the hydro bump brackets, limit straps, top hats, etc. Considering what other companies are selling similar secondary shock hoops for, that was a huge bonus.
Compared to what your not getting with other LT kits the price is very justifiable. You're not just getting boxed spindles, it's a fully fabricated double shear LT, not replacement control arms that have to make due with the OEM spindle geometry. Lots of room to grow too with an engine cage: longer shocks, bumping off the UCA, etc.
    Happy I took the leap.
I'll have some better pictures once I get everything back from powdercoat. Stripped everything to make it NJ winter bomb proof with a zinc primer.

Mount looks good but that cross member piece is pretty thin to start. Might want to plate that piece like you did the frame just so the whole piece doesn't tear off the frame, that tube should help though too

I would throw a lot more plate at that crossmember. Box it in as much as possible and add overlays. It would be a good idea to plate in that tube support too.

Your best bet would be to call The Truck Shop and go from there. Not sure if it is the same place, but I know they work together. I don't have any affiliation with them.

I ended up having to chop the sliders off to get ready for the cage and links.

Got this guy free today. Brand new inner tank. Just need paint. Any one with cells wanna help me out easiest way to get this going? I have an idea I want to use the stock fuel pump and emission stuff but gonna use a separate filler. Do I need the emission stuff for the truck to run proper? I don’t need emissions where I live so it’s not a biggie

Question concerning limit straps. At what travel amount do you add the strap. Say you have 6 inches of down travel, do you make the limit strap good for 5 1/2” or what?

Usually people strap 1/2" to 1" shy of the limiting factor in the travel for safety. You should add an adjustable clevis since straps stretch over time.
