Long Travel BS Thread

wheelers are to soft for the front, and the Timbrins are kinda harsh but they work.

If there's a flavor that's in between that let me know

 

What about the King shaft foam bumps?

 

i have them on mine up front, works fine for me. spaced appropriately.

ah yes, i forgot to mention they were the SuperBumps.

the timbrens are kidney killers.

 

I've always been told not to rely on those as your only bump stop because the OE shock tower can't handle the force...which seems entirely believeable

 

i cant run a bump stop up front cuz the frame will crack you can see how the 5lug kit is made and how close the bump stop is mounted to the arm/frame the arms pulls back on up travel...

 

are they to soft ?

 

i havent found them to be too soft. So far they've been great for me and what i do.

 

Search the second gen thread about fitting 37’s. There ar a ton of pics what’s involved with tubbing and relocating body mounts.

 

Only pic i have. I rhinolined the inner fender well. Cut it out and 45 degree replated

 

I went with the HF jack and I'll have a friend tig weld an adjustable extension on it as well like @MonkeyProof said, it should come in handy since there's not enough extension a lot of the time. If you can afford the pro-eagle I'd say go for it.

 

who has feed back on this set up ? it the TC kit

 

Definitely TC kit.

Pretty sure it was talked about 10-20 pages back. It gets beat by Camburg and DMZ easily if I remember.

Mid travel
Very stiff even with a heavy load in the bed
Not worth the money unless you are keeping your shocks small and don't want a ton of travel

 

Plus afaik it won't be a bolt in and go fit on a 5 lug like it would a 6 lug since the 5 lug is sua from the factory...
