    Nope.

The FJ/4R actually have external cir-clips so they are much more fun to build, unlike the Tacoma with internal clip that sometimes (usually) needs pressing or a serious beating.

I recently installed a Total Chaos +2 Long Travel Race Kit with king shocks and 700lb coils. I have no preload on the spring and it’s sitting really high creating a bad angle for the uniball and cv axle. I know multiple people running this kit with 700lb springs and WITH preload, but the uniball is centered in the cup. I’m running a full hoop plate bumper, Arb dual compressor under the hood, winch, and BAMF 1/4” thick skids weighing 200lbs alone. So, for some reason mine is sitting significantly higher than most peoples and unlike them, I have no preload on the spring. Any idea what would cause this? Everyone I’ve talked to is also running the 700lb 16” springs.

Someone just awnsered this and I believe I got the wrong spring seat. Could anyone compare their King long travel spring seat vs mine. I believe mine is much bigger.

Have someone get you a measurement of their raised standard spring seat. They commonly use the spring seat you have on Bolt in Midtravel coilovers from what I have seen.

lol I was going to say something about the seat / rod end combo, but I said to myself "who could mess that up from the ordering or assembling side of things?"

FWIW you do have preload. Looks like about 3-4 threads. Might not seem like much but that is actually a but of lift.

Bah! I noticed the lower perch earlier but didn't think much of it, just thought they may have changed the design. Glad you're getting it sorted out. Looks like they had to preload the spring to even get it on. If you haven't seen what it should be.......IMG_20170508_153952.jpg

Hey it was a group effort.
    Hopefully that's all it was.

If that was the problem then the coils are preloaded to fit on the shock with the tall seat.

If you're swapping seats yourself you'll have to compress the coils to get them off.
