No it is not exclusive to their XLT kit.

Its no different than getting their normal 3.5 LT kit and added the fabbed spindle. Hell you can run their spindle on a Mid travel build if you want to, its just a stock geometry spindle. All solo does is send a shorter piece of tubing. You also have to run their uniball LBJ for it too.

So really it ends up being like a 4k upgrade haha

Sure you can make your own outer and extension pretty easy, but its the upgraded inner tie rods that most people can't make..i know I couldn't make an heim inner tie rod that bolts to the rack.

Ruffstuff sells the clevis’s needed to bolt the heims to the rack. Camburg also sells a heim steering kit as well.

I don’t see them anymore. They may have discontinued them. It’s been a few years since I purchased them

    Yes
Am I talking second gen and you're talking 1st gen..again ? Because your mentioning some stuff that just doesn't make any sense buddy ?

First, there is just no way that a pre made heimed steering kit for a 4.5" over kit is going to work with anything other than a +4.5" kit...it would be an inch too long for a +3.5" kit.

Second, there is no inner and outer with heim'd steering - you have a clevis - heim - tube - heim.

Third, you don't have to make a anything to bolt to the rack - you just buy a clevis from any shop that makes them.

Fourth, every second gen kit already has a uniball lower control arm

Fifth, you can't run their fab'd spindle on anything else but another a " race kit " with a vertical uniball.

Side note - you don't need a fab'd spindle to run heim'd steering you just use the correct misalignments for the OE spindle

I'll ask them if it works with Camburg spindles.
And I'll call Camburg and ask if theirs are only for their LT.

If you can find for me where on this page:https://www.solomotorsports.com/sho...oyota-parts/toyota-inner-heim-clevis-upgrade/

it says "For XLT kit only"

    That'd be great.

If fact I think if you actually read the page you'll see it says "Whether running long-travel or mid-travel suspension, 3/4″ heims make for tighter-feeling and strong setup."

because god forbid an offroad custom fab shop cut a piece of threaded tubing to whatever size you need

The rest, yes, I was talking 1st gen stuff. My bad.

either way. You can run Solo's steering kit on any taco you want.

    Yes
So, to help put this to bed I just called Bob directly and asked him. The "kit" pictured off the shelf is in fact intended for the XLT kit and of course that one would not work for anything else BUT they will custom build it for you, they will ship you all of the parts and have you take some measurements and then they will custom fab the " tie rod ".
