Stopped by Kibbetech today to get their thoughts on that taco lean and had to take a pic of one of their builds out front... thought I'd share. They do some amazing work for sure!

Some of you might recall a few months back when I was having difficulties installing DTF motor mounts.

My suspicions were confirmed that they are too short. DTF on left and DMZ standing proud on right. The DMZ mounts literally fell into place. No need to start everything loose and then walk the mounts into place. Just an afternoon of work with the DMZs and that’s with URD headers very much in the way of everything. If I still had manifolds it would have been a breeze.

In the lower photo you can see how my fan self-clearanced the shroud with the DTF engine mounts lowering my engine and the trans mount tilting it even further out of place.

Couple questions for you guys who may have your trucks apart with +3.5" extended axles for a 2nd gen tacoma.

    - What is the actual bare extended axle shaft dimension (length)?

    - For guys who have built there own 4wd LT kit, how much do you let the bearings come out of the birdfield on up travel? Are they flush with the edge or do you let them extend past this 1/4 -1/2"? (See picture). This is just a Solidworks 2D block sketch and doesnt fully model the inner CV joint (I have an assembly for that).

Hey y’all I’m going LT in the front (solo) and I almost have everything together but was wondering if tc spindle gussets fit on method nv backspacing with stock suspension because I wanna knock out the prep stuff like spindle gussets body mount chop cam tab gussets etc so I don’t have to do it all at once. Any info?

I talked with him a few weeks ago - he said he's closing up shop. Decided his life was too hectic being a one man show.

He’s ignored me for months. I caught him off guard on IG and he made a few excuses and then disappeared again.

I've got a DTF trans mount, haven't installed it yet, that's on my list this month to install with the Bonzen engine mounts. Hoping everything lines up fine.

You could probably measure that out pretty well before installing it - my 1st gen bonzen mounts were a tight fit on the perches. Just took some lovin with a mallet to line everything up.

Here’s what I did on my 4R, Ballistic tray. Added a second vertical support after this, held up well all summer beating on it.

Yeah tc gussets will work with your wheels

I had the same issue with mine. He told their was an issue with his run of mounts

It should fit fine. You may need to open up the 4 holes that bolt up to the factory trans crossmember a little bit

Thxs....I gotta do something before my battery falls out and my radiator falls on the ground...my core support and fenderwells are just fucked up. I've got patches like this on both sides but they arn't going to hold forever as it just keeps finding new places to crack.

Looks great. Exactly what I need to do. Friggen new trucks have too much stuff to remount :annoyed:.

For the moment due to time constraints (dd and abroad trip coming up in <2weeks) and $$$ , I’m just going to have a fabricator just rebuild my inner fenders and remount, and leave most the radiator support alone. Hopefully I can eventually cut out the rest and build off of what he’ll do this week.

I need to learn how to properly weld so I can actually fab my own stuff and save tons of cash :(
