    Speaking of XLT kits

Who is running one still now that the Dutchman sold his rig?

    And if so
Do you guys have any pictures when you were chopping off your shock towers to install the hoops?

I see nothing has changed here... only forum in the world that 80% of the posts are about long travel squeaking.

Didn’t realize he sold although he had been back and forth about letting it go. Maybe I will get to see it down in southern az now.

Of all the ucas I've installed they were the easiest and perfect gap alignment for the shock towers, you're with lsk right? I always get people confused on here lol

Only the upper bags went off so I just cut em out bc it’s almost the same price for a cage to get them reinstalled, and for now I’ve done all the work myself!
ya I was thinking it could be those too, I’ll do a good check on those! And thank you!
I did actually check that and all of the mounting points seem to be fine and not rubbing so I think that should be good!

I’m gonna check about the cab mounts sometime soon, how much is it to replace them cause I don’t got anything big enough to lift a cab haha!

    They do
And I have asked a slurry of questions and taken a million pictures of that truck.

But since I have the Baja shits shock tower on there from my +2 kit I have to cut more and I was hoping to find a picture of someone’s install when the shock hoops was ready to go on after all the cutting.

Just trying to form a better mental picture before I cut into it

I know it’s redundant but humor me, take it completely off and take a drive around,

Also check the blocks on your crush bar if you still have it, if those got wrapped or crushed they squeak

No impact no idea... not sure I’ve seen it.

I’ve talked to Irish sully as well, and Chris with the black truck

Nobody happened to have pictures of what I was hoping for.

    I’m probably just being picky.

Maybe I can just take a super nice picture of mine, print it out and take it to Bobby and have him make marks so I have a better idea/mental template

Once you loosen the bolts you can lift the cab with the OE jack, and support it with a 2x4

Are you talking about just cutting the coil bucket or all the other things that need to get moved or clearanced - are you using their shock hoops?

Sett your main hoop for the longer shocks and bolt the coilover into your lower arm uncharged with a main spring on it and your shock tabs bolted to the top. The coilover will tell you where you need to cut when it's at full droop when you can slide the main spring all the way up to the spring retainer.

    I got their shock hoops

Figured their kit, their shock hoops.

As far as clearancing the sheet metal I was just gonna put the UCA on and push it up to the top and chalk a like and cut there.

Cause if the UCA clears the hoops will too.

I just want to make sure that I cut all the right stuff at the right height for these new hoops so everything meshes well...

    Just being picky/ OCD

If you want all the up travel you can get that's a good way to do it - you could bolt the rest of the kit on as well to make sure everything fits before you get too far into it and have to wait for parts or something.
