Yeah, Utah doesn't have anything in there code/law that would cause issues with something like this but they do refer to the USDOT regulations which require reflectors.

Soo the reflector thing...could I use that reflector tape on the aluminum panel directly behind the lights? I know were talking technically here lol

If they want to pull you over they will find a reason, there are so many blanket vehicle codes in California. With a truck like @Basikbiker if they want to pull you over they will. Stock taillights won’t stop that.

Yea I know that, last time i got pulled over the cop asked if he could take a picture to show his buddy what toyotas should look like lol. Seriously tho you see dudes in beat up crawlers drivin around or sketch hoopty ass cars. I dont speed or drive crazy on the road in it I just cruise. Cops know u have a pile of money in these things and the more you "attempt" to bide by the law the more lenient they usually are I've found.... unless there's that one guy who is havin a bad day lol

Exactly. Don't drive like an idiot, follow the rules, stop when the cop says stop. Any attempt we can make to have our trucks look legal while driving is one less thing to get pulled over for. Funny thing about you being pulled over for pictures...that's how I met my CHP buddy.. followed me to work in his cruiser.

I feel like also that alot of prerunners (ones done correctly) dont get hassled much because they dont look really all that crazy passing by except for the wide body part unlike a crawler that has tires pokin out and body damage

Clean lines and a lack of damage definitely help.

My wife reminds me regularly about the need to address the panda fenders, I'm not sure why that's what put her over the edge, but it is.

She was in the truck for that busted tail light up thread, and just laughed, then asked if I had a spare, or had to order one...

They’re less noticeable on the silver though.

Mine barely touches the limit strap bolt head at full lock. But that’s with 35’s and stock wheels. Next wheels will have less back spacing to fix that. I can’t run my spare on the front because it has even more back spacing and rubs the spindle.

What wheels are you running? I’m guessing this is a solo kit?

Anyone chop a fiberglass bebside to clear a HC rear bumper? My bedsides are in baaaad shape at this point and I'm going with a wider rear axle but I've already got an HC rear bumper and the Drifter.
