I used an angle grinder with a metal cut off wheel and it cut through like butter. Wear a mask and full clothing though cause the fiberglass dust is nasty and you will get little glass type slivers everywhere and itch like crazy if you dont.

To measure I put the bumper on and measured from the top edge of the bumper to the garage floor in a few locations and then took the bumper off and put the bedsides on and marked the same location. I cut a little lower for error margin and then just trimmed a little bit at a time test fitting the bumper each time till it was where I wanted it. Bit of a slow process but turned out good.

I have methods with their backspacing and 33s so I thought it was odd maybe spacers would fix it?

What alignment specs are you running? Those should be the same backspacing as me and I’m on 35’s.

Hey all. Long time reader, first time poster.

Let me preface my question with, I've searched hi and low and found nothing usable yet specific to Fox bump rebuilding. Figured I'd ask here.

Basically I need to know the tools required, how to disassemble, how much oil to re-fill, and reassembly. They're 2.0 4"
I've got rebuild kits and the oil. I'll either get nitrogen or take them somewhere to get them filled.

    Thanks

Well something doesn’t seem right. Like I said, that’s hw same backspacing I have and I’m on 35’s and barely touch the limit strap bolt head at full lock. You’re saying it hits well before lock. I’d call solo and see what they say. Maybe their kit has different requirements

Yea I noticed it rubs on some tight u turns but it’s like 1/6 a turn away from full lock so I would probably run into issues there in the desert but I’m getting my lower adapters re done at solo cause they messed up with mine so I’ll just ask them about it then

Ahh. I haven’t looked at mine in a while since the truck just sits on the side yard unless we get snow. Either way I like how they came out. Thinking of alternative bends/ light placement to eliminate the need for that side aluminum fill panel and still look good. I see no reason to replace with an oem style taillight after seeing you do this.

Is the DOT tape on the inside and outside of the filler panel?

Not being familiar with how the light throws off those cyclones I just wondered if you had it on the inside to reflect any light coming from the pods themselves.

Decided to add a removable mini chase rack so I can look cool when I mall crawl in my LT truck.

Holds 4 2 gallon Rotopax and two spares upright. Will probably get some of the SDHQ dual straps like they use on there racks for the tires.

Whole thing bolts into the main bed cage an is removable so I can take it out for daily driving and them bolt it in before trail runs or trips. Still leaves room at the back of the bed for the fridge, jack, tools, and gear.
