You're still going to need an alignment. you have to take the control arms off to burn these in, otherwise you'll set the bushings on fire.

    How difficult to install?

Our new HD LCA Frame Brace Kit installs over the top of your frame and existing factory components. Therefore, our new kit can be installed without removing your suspension or alignment hardware, which means this job can be done with the truck on the ground and without requiring vehicle re-alignment.

Welds may be added between each flange mount pair for maximum strength, however this is not required and could be done at a later date, for example when servicing, replacing, or upgrading your LCAs.

Because LT guys do more damage to there suspension and frame do to more leverage from extended arms. Motor mount gussets frame plates, ect ect.
Real question is when is your truck is going to be finished? Going on like 2yrs in the fab shop.

I saw that too. I'll buy someone a beer if they can weld this on with good penetration and not remove the LCAs, nor set the bushings on fire.

    Exactly this.

I agree with this...I think they delved into designing this product partially so the common man could just get it burned on without any suspension removal. They should provide a video of them burning the gussets on and proving the bushings can survive.

Surprised it took this long for someone to note this, thanks. And the alignment wouldn't be too bad, could just take a few pics before removal and put them back in the same spot

I've cracked mine on my first 3.5 kit from stuffing a wash...broken 3 bumpers have since welded a bumper on and welded lots of metal around the LCA mounts...there's nothing wrong with gussetting crucial parts of your truck like suspension pivot points... and beefing the drivetrain up. Anyone who drives there truck hard repeatedly is going to break that stuff...the weight issue really isnt a factor when your sitting on the trail with a wheel snapped off or a broken frame. I even cracked the frame in the rear when I was on leafsprings to where it was gunna depart the vehicle in a couple.more outings. And talkin with shock tuning experts like ODR and stuff they all say a truck with a lil weight to it handles bumps better and is easier to tune. Tacomas are gutless for the most part reguardless what weight ur gunna stack onto em even if you have a supercharger lol. Rather have piece of mind than a broken rig IMO.

And Dana 80? Now your just being dramatic... swapping to any 1 ton drivetrain is more than plenty for these trucks. 14 bolt Dana 60 Ford 9 all are plenty assurance u wont have rear end problems especially if they're full floaters.

The marlin kit is kinda ugly but its user friendly...the Dirt Designs kit looks pretty good especially if you still run cams....
Ultimate solution for the more serious folk...hiemed upper, solid mount the lower arms with bolts deleting the cams entirely and running a tube around the bolt head that gets boxed in to the frame...that version wont break till you wreck the crap out of your truck....which is perfect lol

yea super easy I used 2"x.120 DOM tubing since all my pivots are 3/4 bolts(easier to fit a socket into. and just some 3/16 plate..i only did the front on the front mount and the rear on the rear mount. ill prolly box em in more down the road. but its pretty solid as is for now

your truck like a few others need a lot more than gusset tabs or a better solutions. but just random campers like most here barely even need long travel. i beat the hell out of my truck and the cam tabs were solid enough. these were developed for the marlin ifs on 40’s and all the custom items they are bolting to it.
