Since I decided to keep my rig. I will be buying a set of these. I don't jump my truck and yet my stock spindles with gussets are bent.

    Yup this ^

Also closely inspect your mains for any visible twists/warp. I noticed a twist in a main prior to a failure.

Doesn't Archive make an SUA kit for the rear that will keep factory mounts and the Archive Hangers? I'm assuming it'll be similar to the TC kit and limited on numbers but it'll be the most cost effective way to achieve your goal. That or you could sell your Archive hangers?

You have to pay to play. If you want to go LT and blast the desert then expect it to cost a lot. lol

The only issue I’ve seen with this is that the springs kinda suck. I have used a custom pack from atlas with better results. But the 539/540 and light duty deaver packs seem to leave a lot to be desired when trying to go fast. The last archive kit I did had the had springs and did cycle a hair over 14” though, so numbers wise it does fit the bill.

Seen too many people try to cheap out during builds and it ends up costing them twice as much in the long run. Especially going mid travel first.

Or people trying to reinvent the wheel by building there own LT kit from scratch (with no experience). I see this a lot with SAS swaps and then they complain that there rig is sketchy as shit to drive on the hwy because they got there geometry wrong.

Do it right the first time is how I operate.

So the travel is there but the spring rate doesn't work well for that application?

I think @Supra4x4 is just checking some theories before throwing down his dough which is a great way to not overspend - but yeah buy once cry once is the best way to save money - unless you find a better way to "do it right" after you do it right the first time lol

think the spring rates are decently a factor. But at the end of the day. I think the geometry just isn’t ideal. This springs have a time of arch and are short.

So the atlsa custom pack you are running is soa? They don’t have any under axle applications on there website. If it is full custom, and the perches are too close together what do you think the atlas spring is doing better? I am just thinking it through. i am sure you are right as i just don’t have the experience.

You are correct. The way I see it I have two options. I can build a light duty SUA system using what I have by a custom pack, possibly less money. Or I can wait and opt for The DMZ kit down the road. I’m going to be running a DK 3.5, Ive got glass and 3.5 axles on the way, so I’m leaning towards the performance of the DMZ kit. But life has its priorities, so it’ll be a bit of time before I can afford it.

Custom pack will run you over $1k. Nothing wrong with saving and waiting plus it's a lot of work to re-do the perches, brake line etc, it would also save you time.

Also this. I’ve been going back and forth with Jason on Instagram, and we’ve been discussing the same subjects with the archive kit. He’s been great help letting me pick his brain. So ultimately I think I’ll be ditching the archive kit. It’s a great kit for SOA, super stout. Just isn’t ideal, as he said, for SUA.

By the time you put everything together you'll be close to the cost of a DMZ kit anyway. Unless you have a real reason to do something else I'd go with a DMZ, as a guy who didn't do that and questions his life choices.

Take out a loan for @Tacomoto23 's kit haha Seriously it will save you a bunch of money and time to get a kit.

I’ve been debating it back in forth in my mind the last 3 days. I finally paid off all my credit cards, and my other half’s been saying “don’t you be looking at any more truck parts.” So the struggle is real.

Yeah after the fab work it’s pretty close. I still like to use my truck like a truck and it is my daily. But I haven’t read anywhere that says SUA means you can’t use it like a truck.

Edit: and that’s the beauty of bypasses, just turn the compression up a bit. She’ll handle.

Air bags if you're really carrying a lot of weight regularly and if you're near the limit of your budget you can do this for now and also keep your bed intact:
