Who’s made 63s decent at go fast with soa? If not 63s, what rear springs that are spring over axle work decent at speed. Not looking to do 65 through the whoops. More like 25-30 lol

How much uptravel do you have? Or how much do you think you’ll be able to keep with staying soa? Uptravel is the key to going fast which is opposite of what you are looking for when crawling which is what your more setup for

Probably 6 or 8 in. Maybe more. Not a lot by long travel terms but it’s decent.

Well if it’s 8 that’s not bad compared to a leaf sprung sua 2nd gen. I think I’m getting 9.5” of up or so and the rest down.

My suggestion would be to call deaver and see about getting a custom set of springs. It’ll be a couple bucks more than their off the shelf ones but work way better and suited to your needs. Pair that with a triple bypass and you’ll be floating over stuff at 30-40 that you used to go 10mph through

My previous truck “El Rojo” at one point had a 1st gen replacement deaver j59 soa pack w/ icon rear resi shocks with a LT front end, it worked decent in the mild stuff but bucked in the bigger stuff. It was decent on trails too.

trying to stay away from a custom pack but may be my only option. Bypasses are the next thing to come for the rear I think.

yeah I’m not looking to go huge. Fronts probably only going to be a single coil over but just want something that doesn’t beat the crap out of me on the little stuff. The j59 Do okay holding a spare and a bunch of tools/cooler?

I had that rear set up with icon coil overs and burg ucas. Trucks was very fun and pretty versatile. I carried a single full size spare and some basic tools. Not loaded down much at all. Trucks was a dbl cab so a bit heavier. When I went long travel it just couldn’t keep though it tried lol. You could also do the deaver progressive aal, think wheelers off-road has a version too. It’s been a while since I looked at that stuff though :D

J59 I think are known for being pretty soft so probably not great for much weight. I’d guess you’d lose ride ht with those. Or maybe it was the J66? Custom pack is easy if you can get the truck weight and it’ll be so much better than something off the shelf. Give them a call and see what they say.

bypasses our back and then some internal bypass coilovers up front would be a sweet setup

J66 are pretty soft. I had deaver modify my pack and am much happier with them now.

Didn’t remember which ones were the notoriously soft ones

    Edit
Either way @malburg114 give deaver a call and see what they suggest. Maybe one of their off the shelf packs will suit your needs

Call G and J Aircraft after you measure your kit cycling and figure out where you're tying your lines into at the frame. What brakes are you using?

I've got a tundra axle i'm probably gonna put in this winter. I was just planning on having Moser engineering weld up and redrill the axle shafts to 6 lug along with a set of rotors.

Might be able to find a 6 lug rotor that fits
