The lca went right up with no problems so I set the spindle at 90° and set the uca mounts. The upper mounts are about 1" forward from the reference points Tommy says in his YouTube video.

Once I get the passenger side mocked up ill be able to see how far off the driver side is. The passenger side was actually difficult to get on when mounted it up to get towed.

both of mine were a bitch to get on, but my lower mounts have seen better days so that doesnt help. Plan on doing a center mount in the future so all that stuff will get chopped out anyway

Anyone else run into the same issue? 33x12.5 hitting the shock body? Already running bora 1.5 wheel spacers. Don’t really want to put 2” wheel spacers on the truck plus can’t move the shock tabs over because it going to hit the frame. Only air down to 20psi going to try 25 psi next time see if it change s anything.

Most use a custom layout to avoid this. Looks like your tubes are right where they shouldn't be.

Very common with that tube layout. Tire pressure won’t change things since it’s the top of the tire hitting the shock. Not much you can do other than run wider spacers or wheels with different back spacing. Or get shocks with the bypass tubes on the front and back of the shock vs side.

No difference running wider spacers. 1/2” of aluminum won’t affect the performance of your truck - hopefully it’ll keep you from rubbing.

I finally got around to putting new Saw's on along with heimed uppers. Still need to cut and move the bypass mounts so one of the tubes clears the upper arm. Progress!

Installed some new Polyurethane bushings. Definitely need them! Before news years trip.

Those of you who are tech savvy about front ride height and shock setup, this question is for you.

I had a 500LB spring on my LT kit with approx 4 1/2” of shock shaft showing on a 8” coilover.
Wasn’t happy with the ride height so I dropped down to a 400lb recommended by Accutune.
It dropped my ride height down about 1” so I have around 3 1/2” now with 0 preload on spring with lift spindles.

Is this amount of shock shaft showing at ride height a reasonable amount? Or should I bump up to a 450lb so it shows around 4” and gives me a 50/50 ratio?

Typical ride height is 60/40. Why don’t you make some preload adjustments to the spring instead of bumping spring rates? Spring rate has a lot to do with ride quality too. How does it feel?

Yeah I could. Just don’t want to go down the road of adding more preload to a spring that’s already potentially too soft.

60/40 as in 40 up and 60 down or opposite?

Just took it around the block quickly and hit some street whoops. Felt a lot softer than my
    500lb spring, but felt good.

Well, assuming you had 4.5” of shaft showing without any preload on the 500# springs that’s still under 60% but close to it. I’m assuming there’s a reason you changed the springs in the first place?

60 compression and 40 droop. Compression is what allows you to hit big stuff so you typically want more of it. Droop travel is more sought after in lower more technical wheeling.

Use preload as a tool to get your ride height dialed, within reason of course. You’re going to have to make some valving changes regardless being you’re using such a soft spring.

Thanks for the clarification. Yeah with the shocks sitting at 4 1/2", the ride height was just too tall for me. Plan is to definitely throw a bypass up front to help out after the rear is done so that will help but I hear where you're getting at.
