Did you get anything else when you put the 18” spring on the coilovers?

Can you please be more specific? Like in terms of damping, height, ride quality, etc.? I am sorry, I don't fully understand your question.

Did you have to get a flat spring plate to swap out the raised one that comes normally?

No, my coilover configuration did not change when I swapped springs. No change or addition needed.

It you’re ordering for your 01 with a 3.5 kit they won’t necessarily have the same shock package as 2nd gens, they should look like these:

CVJ axles -- good, bad, fine?

Sounds like they're going to be my best option for the LT kit I ordered. What do people think about them? Is there a benefit to the red boots other than style?

What kit are you getting? I’ve heard decent things about the CVJ’s and considered them in the past but never tried them. Running RCV’s now so hopefully don’t have any issues in the future

JDFs 2.25 kit. Apparently their non-934 CVs are like, hella delayed so they recommended the CVJs if I wanted to get the kit mounted up sooner rather than later.

Gotcha yeah that’s gonna be a tough find as it’s the only kit of that length. Anything you order is going to be custom, but if they said CVJ then it’s worth a call. You could also call RCV to see what they say about a 2.25 kit

Reportedly the standard 2" is effective per my phone call with JDF, but I may check some other places. Is CVJ solid otherwise?

Word, I'll give em a try and report back. I also asked about the 2 vs 2.25 difference and they said it wasn't a big deal. I'm sure the axles are long enough that there's enough engagement except at outrageously high angles.

CVJ is legit, pretty much everyone here in CO that wheels rocks them, their customer service is top notch too. Do red inners and OEM outers and they will treat you right.

Man glad i didn't get too hung up on ride height before driving it around. the dang thing settled like 2in or so. i'll have to measure the shafts tomorrow to verify and then crank it back up.

Anyone know on total chaos axles for a second gen when you pop the axle shaft into the star on the outer cv if there’s any in n out play? I’m getting about a 1/16” of movement on it, took the boot off to verify that it was indeed the shaft moving in the internal star.
