Remind me again why we all struggle with dismantling our cv’s to replace boots when this tool and many others like it has been available for less than $100 ?

I’ve heard of them tearing boots on larger, truck sized boots. Heard they work good for smaller commuter car ones. Unless you or anyone has experience with them?

I mean what’s it take, 30 seconds to pull the clip holding the tulip joint? Only need to pull that one end off to do both boots.

You are still not cleaning out and inspecting the star and balls. Personally I still would want to completely dismantle it, clean, inspect, and pack it properly with grease prior to re-install.

Interesting tool. Seems like a good way to tear a boot but I'd be willing to try it. lol

You must use their boots, OEM boots will not stretch in the tool properly

Can anyone tell me if these are the +3” rod ends?

Just got my coilovers back from accutune so I can finally start putting my dirt designs kit on and I still have tons of room to go up on the UCA and have 2” to the factory bump mount. I know steve had talked about +1” rod ends but not sure if that’s only gonna take an inch out of these or 2”. 2 seems like too much, also who stocks the rod end I would need? Thanks

I’m running standard rod ends on the front bypasses with my dirt designs kit. I just took a set of these standard rod ends off my rear bypasses....you sure you don’t want standard rod ends? Let me know and I’m sure we can work something out. These are new zero miles.

How do you get them to clear the front axles with the spring cup on?

oh nvm now I see you said it was your bypasses, which I can see would have a ton of room to the axle but for my coilovers It looks like I need the +1’s or the spring cup will hit the axle

Ahh, yeah. The coilovers use plus ones.

man slight scare with the ends today... called mckenzies and accutune and no one had stock, called king and they gave me the run around for payment and shipping. Luckily kartek had them in stock and should have them Wednesday. Meant to ask if you got the cam bolts?
