    Has anyone bought any tube lately? DOM or 4130? Last year in April I paid about $650 for 6 10' sticks of 1 3/4" x .120 from industrial metal supply. Today I got quote for 10 10' sticks of 1 3/4" x .120 wall and 6 10' sticks of 1 1/2" x .120 wall for $525.

Gas prices go up n steel prices go down

When I ordered 2 months ago everything was still high. But DOM hadn’t gone up much from the previous time I ordered it. $110 per stick of DOM and $105 for HREW so I just ordered all DOM. 2x2 square was up about $15 a stick from the previous time I bought it.

Anyone have a good recommendation for LT alignment shops in San Diego? Last Place I went to was 50/50 on aligning trucks. Got the Stock one wrong but the LT close... ORW wants $250.

Ive seen some of the online and thought about it!

Thats who I went to before, Taco came out good, Tundra (5100s only) came out whack. Both ended up with suspension creaks/groans, tundra has bad cupping now too

That’s expensive. Hrew 1.75x.120 wall was 40 bucks last year. Now it’s close to 65. Dom has always been about 5-6 dollars a foot. Sheet metal has gone way up though.

80$ a stick for HREW 1.75 .120 here in New Mexico. I do get a contractor price but can’t remember how much of a deal that’s off normally.

I got a quote for a 2x3 sheet of 1/4” here in Tennessee for $450, and had to drive 4hrs to find DOM that was $115 for 10ft sticks.

Shit I don't feel bad about paying $4.75 a foot for full sticks of 1.75x0.120 wall DOM all year anymore... $102 per 21.5 foot sticks

My coilovers/springs arrived today. They look good, 1 minor nick on the lower hat, but nothing super concerning. Just finally following up with my gear here.

Good deal. Fittings look good, got the raised spring seat, and those are the rod ends you needed? I've been communicating with Riley on my C/Os just so everything comes to spec. I see that the bottom cap is off the body on the top shock. They don't ship with oil? If not, I'll probably drop mine off at Accutune for a revalve once mine ship.

That’s just a dust cap. The oil is under the oil seal that is held in by a snap ring. The dust cap should screw onto the seal head and have a set screw to lock it in place

TBH those pictures are from my fiancee who was at home when they arrived -- I'm on shift until 0700 tomorrow. I'm thinking that bottom cap just came unthreaded, but I'll check tomorrow when I get home. I'm pretty sure they ship charged though?

Yeah, never seen a retail pair sold uncharged. They have to assume the end user would not have nitrogen and maybe just want to install them asap.

I’ve received sets both charged and uncharged. Haven’t figured out the rhyme or reason there.

That is my guess. I'm pretty sure she said they were super hard/impossible to compress, so I'd assume they're good to go otherwise.

Could be shippers may not accept pressurized contents going to the opposite coast without an additional fee companies don't want to eat :notsure:

Ahh okay good deal, I figured there had to be something else beyond the cap keeping the oil in. Most shocks I've received (and the smoothies I returned to Locked) have come uncharged for nitro, that's always been standard in my mind.
