Anyone know anything about electric fans? My fan shroud fit like crap with the new radiator so ordered a shroud and fan to fit the radiator from Griffith. Now I just need a wiring harness with thermostat to wire it and need some recommendations. Thanks

What kind of fan. I have an autocoolguy NB 100 that I can part with. I have a spal fan and went with the high frequency version.

This is the fan. Just ordered it through Griffith with the shroud.

edited: because I found his pdf section.

can these be wired to control an electric fan for the motor and an electric Fan transmission cooler?

They are definitely different, but yes the Painless will turn a fan on and off based on temp. The autocoolguy one will use pulse width modulation to ramp the fans up to speed based on temp. So if you only need to turn 20% to maintain your temp, then that’s all they run. If the temp creeps above the set point, then the fans will quickly ramp as fast as they need to. This keeps the fan(s) running quiet like factory E fans. The autocoolguy one also has a separate input for AC. So if you turn the AC on the fans will go to a predetermined RPM regardless of engine temp. Big time requirement for places with hot summers. You can also wire in an over ride switch if you ever wanted full fans for something.
Yes the 55amp would be more than sufficient. No this would not independently control a tranny cooler fan.

Anyone with +2" or + 3.5" CV axles out of the truck want to do me a favor? I need a TLG length. Picked up a set of used axles this weekend but not 100% sure if they're +2 or +3.5".

I'll post up a length when I get home this evening. I measured the extended axle in relation to my stock spare but didn't come out with a clear answer. I want to say 29" but don't quote me. haha.

Here is what I found. Talked to CVJ today and the rep said to measure the axles compressed. He recommended to hold the axle vertically and compress down so you can measure from table to tip of the axle.

Stock is 25.5” according them them. I measured 25.75” but close enough.

The axles I have are 27.625” give or take so they appear to be 2” to me. Huge relief though because that’s what I need.

Do you still need a second measurement? I’m off tomorrow and can do that procedure with my spare if you care for another data point

I ended up picking up @Evenflow ’s old kit, so I got 2+ axles if you need another measurement.

Debating on doing a long travel setup and would love to hear your guy's opinion. I mainly rock crawl given the area I live in and was wondering if the droop is worth the scheckles or should I just go with kings 2.5 extended travel coilovers and just bolt that on.
