My issue was the white lies...he would say "Im shipping

Lots of creaking and cracking putting the bedsides on. Going to take hours of prep and fitting before they can go to paint. This is just them set on and not bolted at all. Im stoked and you will be too! Their website doesnt show how much bulge the 2 inch actually offers so here are some good pics to show.

@IvanhoeTaco Nice… I’m looking forward to it. I have a teammate and his family owns a body shop. They do good high end work, gonna hook it up on prep and painting.

For the fuel door, where can I get that extender?

I plan on doing a +2 LT in the future.. far future..

    thanks for the update..

I have heard that a 4runner of the same year has a longer rubber hose for filler neck. My buddy has a parts t4r that I will get part and confirm.

My biggest issue now is the lip that runs on the inside of the bed that the cargo track bolts to does NOT sit flush with bed, its at an angle and since its fiberglass it cant be just bent to work. Ill try and get some pics tomorrow.

Anyone have any idea how far King is behind on their orders from April?

When I put the order in, I was told around 7 months and its starting to get close to 8 months.

Not in any rush but I took about 2 weeks off at the end of December and I'm hoping to start on my rear link project then. :fingerscrossed:

Who’d you order through? I’d be bugging them to be honest since they could probably provide a more accurate ETA.

Yeah unless you ordered them straight from King, then maybe @orbot knows something about it

I know I’ve been seeing some that ordered in June/July getting their stuff already. Seems like it’s all over the board depending on who ordered them for you.

Great Pics and looks good! Finally get to see how much the bedsides flare out. If I ditch my camper I will go this route but currently don't like the McNeil bedcaps for a camper wish they would have flat topped them instead of having the caps but I understand from a mold stand point it was easier to keep them... Any way at least you got them in 1 Piece both of my front fenders came cracked or broken in a couple of spots. Having worked with fiberglass in the past I just went ahead and fixed them. While messing with them I took 1.5" off the front fender openings and re-glassed the cut off part back in the inside of the fenders for support plus it allowed me to install fender liners. If I get the rear fenders I will be chopping them as well kind of looking forward to it now.:sawzall:

Kudos on modding yours! You did a good job. I too wish the beside tops were flat like a trophy truck but the caps help hide the fact that they arent straight at all! My bedsides had clearly been on another truck at some point. The fronts literally fell into place and my body lines are on point, gaps not to shabby either. As of right now im not able to use tailgate without major surgery. I spent about 4 hours total getting taillights and gas door as perfect as they can be. See pics below.

I jumped the gun by saying the bedsides are garbage because the fact is ive never had anything but these peices to compare to. Maybe I got a good set compared to some.

Great job on fitting the taillights! But holy crap do I see what you mean by the tailgate not fitting looks like 1/2" extra material above the tail light crazy!!!! So is the bed cap not flat? Or does it bow out with the fender flares? Looks kinda like both in the pictures....

I ordered them through wheeleveryweekend. I asked him a couple weeks ago if he had heard anything specific but he hadn't. AFAIK he doesn't order many king shocks since the profit margins are so poor for him, so I wasn't surprised when he didn't have anything more to add to what is going on in the general market situation. He said he ended up going through a contact with polyperformance to send in the order.

Bummer, maybe those were OEM replacement shocks that are done in batches or a retailer put in a large order for common sizes? I might be waiting a while more for 16" CO and 18" bypasses. :frusty:
