Quiklatch 38s on all 4 corners on my cf hood but you gotta get the mounts exactly the right height or they get a little wiggle room to them as well. The aerodynamics of the hood and latches on these trucks was probably one of the biggest design oversights imo. Throw in any vibrations from wheeling or changes in aerodynamics of the truck like bumpers n such and it just catches way too much air and turbulence around the radiator and core support
been a struggle to get mine to stay settled cause it's light

For those that haul their trucks- I’m thinking about ditching the factory front sway on the F150 to smooth things up a bit. Any unforeseen changes to towing when ditching it?

Seems like the opposite of what you would want to do while towing a bunch of weight. My truck came from the factory with beefier front swaybar and a rear swaybar and it tows like a dream. I imagine yours will feel too floaty without it.

I daily mine so maybe I can make some quick disconnects or something and get the best of both worlds.

I run no sway bar on my Tacoma and tow a 4K trailer with a wdh and have no issues.

Edit to add additional context without making an additional post.

Truck has changed slightly since this photo but running standard fitment kings (stock valving) with resi's and rear adjusters. I usually drive around with the rear adjusters in cadillac mode (fully open) and when towing I usually run 10 clicks in. Have HH's and Deaver U402 Stage 1's. This thing has seen plenty of busy 70 mph interstate travel and is very well composed. The wdh helps a ton and when it gets windy the truck and trailer move as a unit. One of our first trips we had some 40+ mph wind gusts that were blowing big rigs out of their lane, I just matched their speed and watched for them to move and tried to stay calm and when the gusts came they would blow us half way out of our lane but the truck and trailer were moving like a single unit. If there was a good drop in sway bar options that came without compromises I'd probably run them. Since this truck really is a do it all daily driver having sway bars for normal around town driving would be nice but the wife and I have gotten used to the truck as is.

I bought a car with your long travel kit from a guy, he told me to go to this thread to find answers about it but haven’t found what I need. The upper and lower uni balls are shot and I took it to a mechanic and he said to ask you what size they were to replace them? Could you help me out please. I direct messaged you on Instagram as well: dylan.harrigan

Gonna need to be more specific. As this is the BS thread. So to help ya we’re going to need to know what kit your talking about. If you don’t know. Then pictures parts with identifying information on them would help.

I’m very sorry to hear that you bought a truck with an LT kit and you are paying someone who can’t figure out what size heim the kit uses. Welcome to the shit show.
