Potentially, yes. You’d have to run a lot more preload in a lighter spring but that is only a problem if you don’t have the spring travel which a longer shock could fix.

It looks like a 10” main spring?
Looking at the pics of the Solo kit looks like they are more using a tender spring with a shorter spring.

Ride quality has been great. Loving that aspect of it but I’m not getting quite the ride height Id like out of them and the top springs are almost at bind. Need to go up in spring rate on the top spring but nobody makes the rate I need.

essentially yes. It’s actually more of a 7.5” but who’s counting.

Pretty cool though. Maybe run a longer main spring but at a lower rate?

That was an idea I have been throwing around but I’ll knowingly be sitting on the crossovers at ride height so I’m not getting quite the benefit I wanted from going with dual rate.

How much ride height are you getting? Is that picture at ride height? What rates are you using.

I’m right around the 55% travel range which is perfect as far as the #s go but my truck has a massive rake because the rear is too high. That does need to be addressed but that more intrusive than swapping springs. Lol

yes, that’s at ride height. 700/700

I still need to get the part number for kings shock tops but I'm still contemplating throwing in a longer body and putting on a dual rate. Spring specs are definitely the worry and limiting factor for the plan. Having 800s available in all lengths would be nice and end up with a 400lb rate.

I was thinking this. A light short spring close to it's full length with a little tender spring to help it at droop would be neat to try

Thats exactly the issue I’m running into. Need an 800lb top spring but it’s not made by any of the spring companies.

You could also look into forced articulation.

Um we prefer consent around here, buddy.

But for real. Do you mean like sway bars or something else?

Not yet. Still haven’t been on the ground with my current changes yet, so if those don’t work then I’ll look at something like that.
