The Jdfab rear comes with all you need minus the 3rd member. I got my 3rd from quick performance…just under $1500 shipped. Someone already linked my install page. It’s totally worth every penny.

 

after test fitting my brackets this morning it looks like i'm gonna have to design a spacer to space the caliper out 3/8 of an inch which will help to get the bracket back from the end of the spindle snout.

 

No turning back now….I feel like I’ve said that a lot about this truck…lol.

Except I still need to properly learn to weld.

 

What’s the plan for wipers? Or are they not a thing anymore?

 

Based on where he lives, he better have a plan for wipers. Not only is he in the PNW he is in one of the wettest parts of it.

 

All I know is looking at mine keeping the factory wiper trans is not gonna happen running tubes through the cowl. I know I’m not giving mine up. We get monsoon type rain here lol.

 

I think I can modify the factory linkage to keep that working but then gotta either remount the factory motor or mount an aftermarket motor in somehow.

 

Got to take it for its first drive today, drives pretty good!

there are a ton of aftermarket setups that you could run that are pretty low profile if you needed to go for a single blade system.

 

This cutting the whole front end of the truck off is a lot of work…lol

4-door 2nd gen is 4010. Mine scaled at 5160lbs. 35's with 2-spares, spare 3rd, rack, driveline, jack and 4x4 conversion. This is my minimum weight. Ice chest, food, gas, etc still ads before hitting the dirt.

 

This was full fuel tank, single spare, and the usual tools I carry. I’ve since added about 150lbs to the rear

 

Prior to your linked rear you had Deavers, was it a custom Deaver pack or off the shelf?

 

Didn’t link the rear but this was weighed after the back half. Running the deavers meant for a dmz kit with one leaf pulled

 

Anyone using wilwood mc4 parking brakes and adjusted them themselves?

 

My first gen with a single spare and around 10 gal in the cell was 4800.
