Congrats on almost completing nursing. Im sure you already know but its considered one of the hardest bachelors to achieve. The engineers would disagree though lol You gotta be proud of yourself.

Im not practicing because im running my family business. Its still in the healthcare field and my knowledge plays a big role. But Im working more than I would as a nurse and earning a little less. Sacrifices as a business owner, i guess. My buddy is working ICU right now at a VA hosp and earning like $80k. and only works 3 12hr shifts, rest of the week is his. Not a bad life.

We gotta meet up someday man! Ive met and talked to alot of EMT's in the desert, but its not the same. Its just good to see another nurse into the desert sport.

Anyways....so nobody bitches about us BSing in the BS thread....

Drooooooooop...leafs arent separating either. I forget why but somebody told me that you cant measure travel once the leafs separate. Realistically getting 15.5-16", Overkill 3.0 16" foxes. Ride is very smooth conservatively going 40-45mph down outlet center, down Main is a different story though lol i need a cage first

The degree is no joke, these guys are out for my blood! VA has great benefits and yea, the pay is great. I did clinical's at the VA here in SD. Eventually I'd like to get into ICU or go back to the ER. I used to be an EMT in an ER for a few years, definitely miss it as I'm working a telemetry floor now. I've met a few EMT's in the desert scene too, but never a nurse lol. You know how it goes, the EMT's all go the firefighter/paramedic route, and a few head towards nursing.

Corona's not far and I'd love a ride in that DMZ machine. Next I hit the dirt I'll PM you!

Check this out... looks like a good deal for 11k. Guy seems desperate as he's having a kid and needs to lose this quick. I wonder if it's 3.0L or 4.0L 6cylinder

Cool truck with 2 really questionable items on there. I wonder if shock cooling is an issue with the front shock reservoirs mounted right above the engine, and he's got a hell of a lot of tubes built into that bed cage and then went and single-shear-mounted the shocks.

I'm sure there are bridge programs/step up programs offered where you can attain a bachelors degree in paramedic studies. Not sure where though

none of my business, but might as well go for nursing. I try to persuade people to go that route as much as possible. Ive talked to a couple Paramedics over at DezertRangers and they joined because of the EMT-Paramedic-Firefighter route. Now they wish theyve gone the nursing route. Some go that way b/c of the medic is "hardcore" and nursing is "pansy" mindset. The guy on DR has been a medic for 8 years. His back is shot and the pay is substantially lower than a nurse. He's badass though, works on a Lifeflight team (Pilot,Medic,Nurse). Medic & Nurse do the same things in the helicopter but unfortunately the nurse is paid alot more.

Two of my favorite trucks. Especially the one on the left. Got to see that thing in action a couple years ago. Truck was a rareity as well as an abomination. The rear setup was odd, having a smoothbody and a bypass next to each other (2 shocks each side) along with the campershell. The guy works for TC and the truck was scaryfast, the owner was a nice guy. He ended up parting is out earlier this year i believe

I love my truck, but i wish i built up an older toyota and just bought a tundra as a DD.

I thought maybe they were both smoothbodies, i just didnt want to sell him short. Im glad he sold it before he rolled it, without a cage. From what i heard the truck was tuned real well and had no problem keeping up with the race trucks on the preruns.
