Yeah the neck devices I’ve found require a helmet.

When my son was younger and would fall asleep off-road I considered an HNR to a bike helmet to keep his head from bobbing around. We just slowed down when he fell asleep, sometimes stopped.

My oldest is 11 and the younger (6 yrs) won’t go unless it’s a putt around. My 11 yr would only go if it’s a mild run. Would not take him on anything more than that.

My 3.4 puts me as one of the slowest out there too lol

Honestly I don’t think enough people give this topic enough thought! I try my best to use my brain and be safe about things but sometimes ignorance gets in the way.

Ok, I won’t use the crotch strap and I’ll leave the inside shoulder strap loose… bam 3 points!

LMAO. Yeah I get that. I understand the principle about a lot of this stuff but it's the engineering department where I'm lacking. Thats why id love to learn to fabricate and make some of this stuff myself. I saw the 4x cage and didnt think there was an issue, because im ignorant. lol. Or uneducated, or both.

Had nobody ever seen some of the big boy prerunners take a nasty ass lick, no helmets Hans or anything but a 4 or 5 point and everyone is fine? IMO you’re a fool to 3 point in a caged vehicle.

Post up a video you're talking about, im willing to bet they didnt come to an immediate stop like in a vehicle on vehicle collision. Obviously don't use the 3 point if you're hucking the truck or racing the mint.

Just because there's a video of someone doing it doesn't make it big brain.

this is what I had learned that with cage a set of good harnesses 4 or 5 points are mandatory.

So with the stock 3 point seat belts in an accident or hard crash isn’t the chance of a whiplash virtually the same as with a set of harnesses. I mean you have a millasecond before the stock 3 point seatbelt locks. That is not enough time to soften the neck snap. :notsure:

Fuck it I’m going lap belts only!

No doubt a Hans type device is better than none!

You have a greater chance of whiplash with a 3 point as your body has ability to move more. Not saying you can’t break your neck in a wreck, but the chances are less with a true 4 point.

Your whole body is able to move and absorb energy with a 3 point, its not all localized to your neck like a 4 point.

These are all internet retards like us, but everyone agrees except you.

Yes, that’s why nascar got away with 4 points and no Hans devices for so long with crashes every race and rarely severe injury. As the cars got faster, yeah it became an issue. We’re driving fuckin tacomas. Not 1300hp trophy trucks.
