Glad I work at Lexus, I didn't pay anywhere near that for a new one. Yikes.

Question for the gods: what type of performance can be expected with a long travel sua setup with 16 inch shocks that arent external bypass? Just a regular ole 16 inch with compression adjuster.

Where are you? A good 2.5 smoothie with a tune would be ok for East Coast and most other areas even the desert - the same or better than an improperly setup bypass shock.

@Pittsy that dealership is near me and they are one of the bigger ones here.

That would handle nearly everything you can find on the east coast if tuned well and paired with a front setup that is on par. Not gonna be tearing shit up with that but 40-50 mph range and less it'll be great

LS Swap with RSG Tranzilla, Custom hi clearance front bumper, Relentless: Slider's, bed rails, rear bumper, Prinsu with 40" BD s8. Dirt Designs 3.5 LT. Archive Garage rear towers/shackle flip/SUA. King Air bumps. King LT Coilovers in front. King 12x2.5 in rear. ARB rear air locker and twin compressor. SCS f5's with 33" Ridge Grapplers. 20" S8 mounted in bumper, squadron sport fog lights, squadron pro backup lights, LP6's bumper mounted.
You just wont have your different zone adjustments, but it will still work fine, just take alot more time to tune... might help to run air bumps as well just to allow for different adjustability at bump.

I ran basically this exact setup, Sua rear with 16" smooth body with IBP and adjusters. I did also have hydro bumps. Worked awesome, very happy with performance for everything I did, which didn't involve a lot of whoops unfortunately, but pretty much everything else.

Just decided that while I'm doing an LS swap 9" rear and I ternal cage, might as well link it while I'm at it.

I work at Toyota and got a super bro deal for the reman for a bit more than that rebuild price. New they quoted me $790 but I didn’t get availability which we can check inventory nationwide I was in sticker shock on that price. If the reman goes out I know the warranty guy

Engine mount time. This part scares me a bit. Got some MarTec mounts with some spacers in case I need them to clear my tundra rack which now sits against the engine.

Best way to lift up the engine?

this seems like a decent spot for the driver side.

Maybe the middle of the upper pan with a solid 2x4 ?

Anyone in SoCal who has done motor mounts and would be willing to lend a hand?

don’t know why, supporting a loose engine off of a jack sketches me out more than doing almost anything else on the truck

Yep - I've had 2 done for $150 and $175 with upgraded viton seals and it's 5 min from my place. 1-3 day turnaround.

You can put a flat piece of plywood on top of the 4x4 to distribute the force a little, but that should be ok.

Just replacing the engine side bolt in motor mounts or are you replacing the perches as well? Bolt-on stuff isn't too bad if you have a bunch of wobble tip extensions and maybe an electric ratchet, but not necessary on the ratchet. Loosening up the trans mount will help as well - watch for any stretching wires / trans shifter linkages.

Thanks JD Fab and HB for making this happen.
I know this isn't anything to you big swingers but from a crawler/overlander to converting to a more fun desert truck carrying well over 750LBS on top of the current trucks gear weight I must say its working and a ton of fun in the washes!

Did the oxygen masks drop down? Might need to run a pressurized cabin....
