That’s the appropriate range depending on additional weight and preference. Shock valving also plays a factor. Probably a 16x650 for a 3rd Gen Taco. I think that’s what @AY_ARONTRD went too as the 600s were too soft?

I run 16x600s on my 2nd Gen but also don’t try and jump it. I’m more concerned with ride quality.

Are you getting the DSC adjusters or no?

That is correct. 16x650’s on my truck and I’ve been happy with them, also don’t try to jump my truck.

Or just unplug the passenger occupancy sensor and not the actual airbag to introduce a fault.

I would bet the issue some may have is with your desire to jump. Most don't consider jumping their truck without it being a fully caged front to back long travel pre-runner.

At the least having the proper suspension and a boxed frame. A cage would be ideal but I underStand not doing one right away.

2.0s front/rear are not adequate for big sends. The frame is going to take a lot of that load.

    Whole lotta stuff
I’ll add, the JD frame braces help a lot with stability in the rear. I was worried about it because my frame isn’t boxed or caged. Would still prefer to have those as well now that I have travel to tune with, but pleased with it so far.

The JD fab frame brace is a box kit, right? I suppose it's not a full but it hits everywhere important in the rear and turns the C-channel in that area into a box.

Yeah, that kit boxes the inside of the frame around the shock mount and hangers, per their description:

    > We decided to fix this problem once and for all with a massive 3/16" thick, boxed frame brace kit.

I assume it's a pretty good bang for buck to box that specific segment of the frame.

Unless they're just describing that brace as boxed, I guess. JD used to sell a frame box kit for the 2nd gen I think but I can't find it on their site anymore.

The frame brace doesn’t box the frame. It reinforces it in problem areas that a boxed frame wouldn’t even fully address. The brace itself is boxed with 3/16” plate.

One could argue that it’s more effective at reducing frame flex than a boxed frame but I haven’t seen any load force comparisons.

JD does, or did, offer a frame boxing kit that incorporated their auxiliary fuel tank. I’m not sure if you could purchase separately.
