Definitely true. I usually cant stand a new gen until the next one comes out about decade later and I start randomly thinking “well i guess the body lines aren’t too bad i could see maybe buying one”.
Took me awhile to accept the 2nd gen lol

All their coil trucks have that. 4runner has had that for years and years

I think the bump in the coil is mostly for straight travel, and the on on the frame is for articulation, but it does look like they both hit on straight travel so I'm not totally sure

Yeah the hitch receiver and rear bumper structure hang down quite a bit compared to the bumper cover. It immediately stuck my eye when I saw this thing

It feels more like the C pillar got fatter than fuck for crash purposes, and the rear window shrunk rather than rear seat room diminished but I never looked at measurements.

Also funny that Toyota starts covering up major entrance points where shit used to be able to easily get in the frame in contrast to people saying these entrance points weren’t an issue despite the frame rusting out in proximity to these regions. Toyota is well aware lol.

Gas tank switched to the passenger side. Looks like a fun truck. That's a pretty big frame redesign.

not the best that the tank hangs below the frame like the 4runner now though

You know, if there's one thing that I simply don't understand about the 4th gen (aside from gimping the access cab back into an extended cab, increasing the wheelbase, and shrinking the gas tank while simultaneously making it hang lower), it's why they didn't make all of the versions have rear coils. It seems like they could have saved a lot of R&D time and money by making things consistent across the whole platform.

I think pro and trd or?
Pro, and the trd trims [except prerunner?] are coil.

We should have ours this spring. As always there’s improvements to be made. We plan to void warranty week 1.

I spoke to Accutune/Archive Garage about my goals with my rear setup. I said I don't go rock crawling, and I'm looking to upgrade to a SUA setup. They recommended me to stay SOA because SUA is highly overrated. I said I'm looking to do majority of fast desert driving and have about max 250lbs in my bed. They still recommended me to go with hammer hangars and a deaver N98 leaf pack. For those running sua, any regrets?

They are recommending items based on what they sell. Go to www.jdfabrication.com or at least www.dirtking.com My preference is JDFab and they have eliminated the boat anchor rear hangers. You won't regret it. Just look at how many people end up selling their Hammer Hangers.

Interesting to hear, i wonder if they meant SUA in stock locations/hangers or what.

Exactly what I was thinking. Jd fabs SUA kit with the frame brace is definitely intriguing

I was confused as well. I mentioned I wanted to do a DMZ SUA kit.
